Every time I read this thread it makes me hungry . To stay on the subject, I had a bun with cheese and mortadella today and some tomatoes (not really cooked, but anyway :bigwink:).

Chicken thighs on the grill, coated with jerk paste (Walkerswood). Also grilled corn on the cob.

I’m doing the sausage and peppers my wife asked for. I had to go to Kroger for some peppers and got some thing for chicken cordon bleu and a chicken picata.

I paid for someone else to cook it, but I had chicken, sweetcorn, pineapple and sundried tomatoes on my pizza.
A side of regular garlic bread and coke.
A white chocolate and caramel cookie dough with vanilla ice cream for afters.

I thought the cookie dough was going to kill me with sugar. I won't be getting that again.

Big argument in the house because I purchased & cooked long grain rice.

My wife insists 'Long grain rice is stupid people rice [like your mother] and from the 1970s.'

She wants Basmati. She even sneers at my pudding rice down at the back of the cupboard. 'You pudding,' she says.

Maybe this is Justifiable violence in a legal setting, or I buy Basmati?

You said "house," not courtroom, so you're not in a legal setting, however that affects your charge sheet (the big players on Wall Street call them "the check")

At the risk of increasing the level of violence in the @matwoolf household, Basmati is long-grain rice...

What you need is risotto rice from the @Hammer-mater which is also from the 1970s and has the sell by date to prove it!

    Yes.

I suppose I shall fall on my sword & admit my weakness/nostalgia for so-called ‘easy cook’ granny rice. :(

Strawberries soaked in orange juice. Not exactly cooking but I'm feeling lazy. Accompanied by the little tsipouro I've got left.

I'm curious about the grated carrots. I suppose you could add them as an alternative to lettuce for the hamburger. :p
