Rice, beans and Yucca. Hardest part was cutting the damn Yucca with the dull knives I've got here. Should come out tasty with a little olive oil on the Yucca.
This confused me at first because, in the UK, Yucca is generally a houseplant... however Dr Google tells me that you pond-cousins call cassava "yucca" (which probably comes from "yuk" when you read on https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/cassava that cassava contains "cyanogenic glycosides, which can release cyanide in the body when consumed"... so, good luck with that...)
Also the seeds in the middle of peach/apricot stones which are delicious, said to be a cure for cancer, and also contain cyanide...
Grilled haddock with poached eggs, beetroot, and a frankfurter. No, I don't know why either but very tasty...
Ha, no luck needed here! Been eating Yucca all my life. Need to boil it until its nice and soft and not deadly... I think it'd take Forrest Gump to the second power to eat this shit raw.
I would probably still have a potato... I don't understand the "it's ok if it's done right" thing. In Japan puffer fish is considered a delicacy, despite what national geographic says :- "Almost all pufferfish contain tetrodotoxin, a substance that makes them foul tasting and often lethal to fish. To humans, tetrodotoxin is deadly, up to 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There is enough toxin in one pufferfish to kill 30 adult humans, and there is no known antidote...Called fugu in Japan, it is extremely expensive and only prepared by trained, licensed chefs who know that one bad cut means almost certain death for a customer. In fact, many such deaths occur annually" (my bold) OR... you could eat salmon? Just saying...
Also possible. Arsenic is a metallic element that can be found in mineral form in soil and groundwater. Plants grown in contaminated soil can pick up and retain small amounts. Arsenic doesn't have an inherent taste or odour, though, so you're not likely to know you're eating it.
Pumpkin cake with walnuts in it. Not exactly a wholesome dinner an all, but it's homemade and smells damn good. Plus, I'm too lazy to cook tonight. ETA: I didn't bake the cake.
Keeping it simple, hamburger with cheese no bread, macaroni salad (store-bought), pickles, tomato, and lettuce. Very simple but good meal.
Salmon, store bought fresh and pan fried, with steamed chard and baby potatoes fresh from the garden, topped with sour cream and chives.
Wendy's. Cheeseburger with fries, small chicken nuggets with a lemonade. No regrets, 10/10 I will eat this heart attack meal again.
Garbage....junk food since I got home. Was gonna go to a lil bar with giant tacos by my work but cars lined up all over the street round there parking wise and didn`t feel like dealing with it. Made a little salad picked at it and mostly ate my junk. Having acid reflux to, I`m sure neither connected. Need to stop, regulate my junk intake.
Dry-rubbing the pork butts for the smoker tomorrow. I got a five-pounder, but I'm gonna split it into two: one traditional, and the other with Szechuan rub and sauce.
It may only be breakfast time, but I know what I want for dinner. Yes, I want a cooked pastrami sandwich with sauteed onions and some mozzarella cheese melted on. Yes, some spicy mustard on top of that. Yes, yeees. Muhahahaha.
I'd have it no other way. Brought all the ingredients already. Just counting down the seconds till dinner. O_O
