Nope. Made it as far Mexican with two margaritas and shrimp tacos. Then I grabbed some veal and peas from the Italian market, headed home, and am contemplating a nice nap. Sounded great when I typed it, but then biology took over.
This Vegan "chicken" isn't too bad. The texture is slightly off, but it's editable. Won't be eating it again though. Tonight would've been a much better cold cereal dinner.
Don't eat it. Tastes like sweet rubber mixed with sand. I'd type louder but then I'd fail the challenge.
I have a couple of vegan friends that keep getting me to try all these veggie products that "taste just like meat."™ They don't. They're generally not bad, they would just be far more appealing if they weren't trying to be something they're not, and people that haven't tasted meat in over a decade are not great judges of what meat actually tastes like.
I used to love the gas station frozen burritos that had "textured vegetable protein" in them. Ate them for years when I was on midnight shift.
Those still taste good. Had one last week - spicy beef, cheese and bean burrito. Could use one now....
I miss them, but I'm talking about the ones that are SPICY BEEF flavored textured vegetable protein, processed CHEESE food product, AND BEAN!!!! Note: That's advertising red, not moderator red
Fudge poptarts I was GONNA make some thinly sliced beef with veggies and a side of pan fried pork gyouza, but the stupid stovetop is busted So poptarts it is. Hooray for toaster cooked junk food.
Ate the leftovers early in the day and don`t feel like using energy so it`s saltines and peanut butter for dinner
This gave me a hankerin'. I'm not even hungry, I just had leftover lasagna, but somehow I'm now in the mood for something that's over-spiced and reconstituted.
Tis why we made it too the moon you see. In '67 Nasa figured this out, and now you done and gave away the secret to rocket fuel. Now we will never be able to visit the moon again. For shame sir, for shame.
Pumpkin soup with homemade bread. It‘s one of my favourite recipes, but... Spoiler I‘ve made the soup several times already, but I realized only today, that I mixed up/mistranslated (the recipe is in English) cumin and used curcuma instead. The result is tasty, though. I guess I‘ll keep it .
Yes, I think so (pumpkin, 1 potato, onion, garlic, curcuma , pepper and salt, olive oil), at least if you leave out the creme fraiche, which I have totally forgotten to ad today .
I oversalted some chili once, and one of the remedies is to add honey. Now it's one of my default ingredients.
