I was making a bad joke as well. (The semi-edible was supposed to be the clue. I shouldn't give up the day job, should I?) I KNOW you don't make tomato/peanut/cinnamon cack. Er, cake....
A cousin once made pumpkin pies using canned pumpkin for a large Thanksgiving gathering, thinking it was pumpkin pie filling. Gak. Straight into family holiday lore, and the subject of Thanksgiving never comes up without her being ragged about it.
Meat pie with potatoes and carrots. Should be done before this upcoming party. ETA: Forget the meat pie. Feeling sick, need soup asap. So, chicken noodle soup it is. At least now I have an excuse to not go party. Awesome!
I was going to make chicken noodle soup, but I decided to go fancy and made a quesadilla instead. Tofurky makes this chicken substitute that's actually pretty good.
Frozen entree like always. Been packing my own lunch for work though as they keep serving the same rotten turkey. Wanting us to expire for some reason. Lots of salmini sandwiches. Should fit meal prepping into the lunch making routine eventually.
Something called chicken lazone. Finally got around to making the stuff tonight, and was not impressed. It was way too greasy for my liking.
Hate when that happens. Never was able to handle grease well. I'll add that to my skipable meals list .
It also didn't have much taste to it, despite following exact directions, so yeah, not something I would make again.
Making Bourbon Balls. Holiday KY classic. Got some Woodford's Reserve, soaked pecans in bourbon overnight, mixed the filling and have them freezing. Going to temper my chocolate and dip them later. They're fantastic, but flammable. -SIN
Hot sandwiches for days my brother. (Read in Hulk Hogans voice). Was having trouble focusing tonight so I went out to the sandwich maker and made me a snacker, Beard, cheese, salami, cheese, two salami, cheese, salami, cheese. two salami, cheese. and salami, Was wonderful little bit of indigestion but worth it.
I was working in the rooms above the restaurant today and had to deal with the wafting smells of hamburgers all day. Gave me a hankering, got some supplies on my way home and made one of my own. Ground beef, bun, cheese, dijon mustard, and some pickle chips. Classic style.
Heated up some leftover chili. It sucks sometimes cooking for myself. I don't enjoy leftovers, but who in their right or left mind makes a single serving of chili?
Plus chili is one of those dishes that really needs a night in the fridge for all the flavors to properly blend, so the best chili is leftover. Unless you're one of those freaks who can cook tomorrow's dinner tonight whilst munching on a drink coaster.
Look, man, we all have our vices, and if drink coasters aren't in yet, well, they will be. Especially the cork ones. Mmmmmm, cork. And yeah. I made this pot with some bay leaves and I left them in the container of leftovers to help stew it up a bit better.
Well it might be the healthiest wood/bark to eat, since it is naturally resistant to microbials. Also it is light yet good on fiber.
