That actually sounds pretty good. I`ll have to remember to look that one up and try it. Cooked up a ham last night, we both also ended up with the flu last night so didn`t eat any of it. Have it in the fridge may heat it tonight and make potateos....may not. ...all depending.
Just the typical fare; ham, mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, veggies, rolls. Nothing big, it’s just me and the Mrs.
A piece of store-bought pumpkin pie apparently. I went out to the kitchen and stared into the cupboard before leaving with only that. Might go back and try to make some ramen, or not. Should probably eat something.
More cheese because I hate my guts! Just kidding. Sort of.. It's because of the lactose thing... I'll go.
If you added bacon, it would've been healthier. Trust me; I'm not a doctor. Tonight is roast beef sandwich night. Onions, mustard, some cheese.
My dad grew up with Italian feasts around Christmas, so for my dad's Christmas celebration, we're having the feast of his childhood. There's wedding soup, antipasto, big vat of gravy and meatballs, cannoli, another fried dough dessert, and an epic amount of pasta. Plus salad. The whole house smells amazing.
Tonight I am cooking disappointment. The Mrs. gifted me an Instapot a while back, it was on sale at Costco. I rarely use it for no particular reason other than we have little counter space and it gets ignored. A friend sent me an instapot chicken dish recipe today, and I tried it. I must have done something wrong because this is the most flavorless chicken I have ever had. It only took 8 minutes to cook, but it tastes is somewhere between boiled chicken and boiled wood pulp. I’ll be back later, I’m going to Arby’s.
So far I've cooked a u.p.s. Damn it smells in here. Fortunately, my foe of a pc is still functional. I have no idea what just happened.
I made some barbecue sauce covered macaroni and cheese and leftover meatballs. I'm trying to eat up all the indulgent food before payday so I can stuff my corner of the fridge with fresher things and more real food. That being said, I emptied out my bag from visiting places on Christmas and I now have a candy bowl on the table by the bed. Probably not the best place for it, but maybe it'll help after a bad dream!
^ Not exactly COOKING, but then, it's BACON!! OH BOY OH BOY!! AS FOR ME, I'M ABOUT TO WHIP UP AN EGG AND SAUSAGE SANDWICH. IT'S A BREAKFAST ON TOASTED BREAD (WELL IN THIS CASE MORE OF A DINNER ACTUALLY), AND IT'S DELICIOUS! WOW, WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FONT??!!
Oh, it was all caps. Oops!! Tried several times to edit it, but my slow connection doesn't seem to allow it most of the time. Oh, and I wanted to add––it isn't exactly cooking, unless of course you're going to cook some of it? And how could you not? Send me a few slices for my sandwich? Ok, nvrmnd.
In the US, December 30 was national bacon day. I know you’re an expat and all, but I think we can extend that to your house.
