Risotto for tomorrow and next day. Not sure it's properly called risotto: I chop onion, carrot, celery and whatever greens I have on hand; sautee, add rice, then dump into the slow cooker with 2X water. Always tender, never sticks. I just have to remember to turn it off before i go to bed.

Ain't my freezers. We have seven restaurants. Frankly, I am getting sick of them. Running one is hard enough.

My mum cooked me Swiss cheese fondue with Ciabatta bread and two salads: one with avocado, tomatoes, some green leaves and pine tree seeds and one with beets, apple, pickle and creme fraiche

Ice buildup in the freezer? When was the last time you thawed it out?

Not that long ago as it happens. I think it's the thermostat and it tends to happen with stuff stored at the bottom. I just forget (not to store stuff at the bottom).

Homer, no offense man, but we'll be glad when you get back to work and can take out your kitchen anxieties on employees again rather than us.

Oh, wait. In the freezer? Would that make my fridge freeze? My freezer has a constant build-up of ice. There's more ice in my freezer than food. True fact.

Trying out a spicy cajun chicken filet recipe. Dont know the sides yet. Filling up the spice racks little more though, so that's a plus.

I'd tell you jasmine rice, but it sounds somewhat boring. How about this: https://www.budgetbytes.com/one-pot-creamy-cajun-chicken-pasta/

    Looks yummy!

Yes. That giant mass of ice is turning the fridge into a second freezer. Unplug it, thaw it out, melt the ice with hot water and/or a blow dryer, plug it back in, and bring it back to temp. You'll have to figure out something to do with the food in there already, though.

We had that problem one time at my work. The office freezer was pretty thick with ice, an inch or so all around. Boss was not amused when I soaked and affixed one of the plush Col. Sanders dolls that KFC was giving out at the time upside down, like Luke Skywalker in The Empire Strikes Back.

That is a beautiful mental image thank you.

Was gonna heat up some leftovers but instead turned into a tuna sandwich. Kinda want to just make a tuna melt now.

"How do you make a tuna melt?"

    "Blowtorch should do the trick."

I made mojo pork in the crock pot so the house smells amazing.
Served with coconut rice and broiled onions and peppers.

The only thing missing is a Spanish guitar player strumming music in the background.
Although, I would prefer he was in my kitchen, helping me cook.

I love that about crock pot cooking—it fills the entire house with amazing scents! The problem is I usually cook in it overnight, which can make sleeping pretty difficult. But as soon as I wake up it's time to de-crock the food and give it the first taste. And whatever I cooked becomes breakfast by default.
