Homemade poke bowl! Tuna (with a light sear since not sushi grade), seasoned sushi rice, edamame, scallions, avocado, sliced onions, cucumber, chopped nori sesame seeds and a creamy sweet-spicy chili sauce.
At least you know where you are with chicken of the sea. Their smoked oysters are pretty good too; I like to call them rocky mountain oysters of the sea.
I go the white trash route and put them on saltines with mayo and a dash of tabasco. I'll have to try that recipe though. I'm a big oyster fan.
It's a lie I tell Mr. Kelly so he'll let me do it and not endlessly carp about how I'm going to give him food poisoning even though it's never happened in nearly 30 years.
Tell him lettuce, potatoes, and beets are the number one carriers of food born illnesses. You want food poisoning? Eat romaine every day. (Shit, we took it off the menu because it was getting recalled every other month?
I hate seafood. Just the smell of it puts me off. Last week they had some godawful machine that made fresh cooked and shredded squid running in by the gates of the train station like Satan's Own Cotton Candy Machine in the atrium of Hell. And the stench of it got trapped inside my mask until long after I cleared the LD50 area.
I always knew deep down that McDonald's cheeseburgers and fried balogna sandwiches were better for me.
Had a few beef recalls this year, too. Not sure bologna is even a food, but the plant that processes it can kill your ass too. Problem with lettuce and tomatoes and things is that they grow in dirt (easily contaminated), are constantly irrigated (no better way to spread illness than through a water supply), have the perfect PH for bacterial growth (ALL foods contain bacteria), and are consumed raw (no heat/no bueno). Raw fish recalls the last 3 years for me: 0 Vegetable recalls the last 3 years for me: at least 10 that I can remember. Now, that's more a result of mass distribution making outbreaks easier to identify and target, but I've never had the Department of Health email me to throw out all my fish at once. But fucking lettuce? Twice a year at least.
Yep. The distributors remit the credit and then go after the producers for the difference. It's pennies to them. A $25 case of lettuce against your $25K bill.

I think I'm going to make shepard's pie... vegetarian style because my granmum is vegetarian... but will still probably come out okay
I came around due to uncontrollable stomach rumbling and made some spaghetti, which I ate with black pepper and grated cheese.
I had to really push myself to eat. Even though I might get hungry, somedays I just lack willpower for basic survival chores. It's rare but it happens. Not in a manner of cooking, but in the manner of chewing something and swallowing it.
I just cooked a whole meal for me and my grandparents, haven't touched a forkful because nowadays I can go without eating and for some reason food repulses me.
There are plant-based meat alternatives out there, which is mainly what I use. I am not a fan of soy-based alternative foods.
