Black pepper and garlic grilled chicken, quinoa, and...some kind of to be determined vegetables (Spinach? Yellow squash, Broccoli? Combo?).
Only if you customize it somehow. Straight-up Meatlovers? Nope. Meatlovers with extra pepperoni? You am an chef!
I love scotch and playing MTG. Two of my favorite things. Add sex to it and I'd die happily. Wife doesn't play Magic though, so I have to settle for two out of three.
Yesterday was stuffed acorn squash. And today is glop. Glop is when you cook everything you want to use up together in a pot. I like this one quite a bit, probably because it contains a big can of green enchilada sauce. But glop is not always good. Oh, nooo. When I was in elementary school there was a mean lunch attendant and if she caught kids mixing all their gross cafeteria food together she'd make them eat it. She'd say, "You make'm slop, you eat'em slop." It's like that.
Haha... we used to call that Pierce St. Bolognese. Thaw out everything in the freezer, braise it up, add a couple of cans of tomatoes, and BAM! Dinner... sort of. ETA: I got suspended when I was like 9 or 10 years old for giving a mean lunch aide the finger. Don't remember why, but she probably had it coming.
Yep, those are cannelini beans. I agree. I'm not a fan of the large ones either. (Tough skins, bitter flavor.) No clue for dinner tonight. Tired, so I'll probably cheat and do Lean Cuisine or something. I made a burger with avocado and spinach leaves for lunch. Edit: Actually...to be continued in a later post....
My dad used to call that pottage. I called it nasty and I don't think I've ever eaten it of my own accord.
Yep. Saute in oil and garlic with broccoli di rabe, sausage, and red pepper flakes. Delicious. ETA: don't saute the beans until you've boiled the hell out of them, and then just toss them in the absorb some juice... otherwise you'll be there all day.
Not tonight, but the other night with red wine, I got some crostini and on them I put fig jam, camembert cheese, and thin slices of pear. I've made it in the past with brie instead of camembert and apples instead of pear. Both are good!
Yum! I'm getting the ingredients for that on the next grocery run! Got any ideas for the can of garbanzo beans I have in the pantry? I bought 'em for hummus but am out of the mood and the only other thing I could think of was marinated in Italian dressing. (Also not in the mood.) I'm tempted to try your recipe above with them but I think the garbanzos texture might be too firm.
I am a bit at a loss, I have no idea what to cook for Easter dinner? I am bored with the usual, turkey and ham. What is everybody cooking?
