Chicken, shrimp and veggie kabobs with corn on the cob. So much yum!

Making food for the first time in forever.

Though having time for food would get better when I got used to work - but it's only worse. I've got too much angst to eat at work most days and when I come home I'm more or less dead from not eating since halv past six in the morning. So usually I just eat 3 minutes noodles or bread when I get home.

Today I stuffed some pita bread with quorn bits, sauce and random vegetables.

Tonight's dinner was an Old el Paso rice meal. I add natural yoghurt to my share because it's target spicy for my liking, but the bf likes it so I include it now and again.

The in-laws sent us home with a couple pounds of pulled pork, ribs and smoked potatoes, so we're heating that up for dinner tonight with store bought cole slaw.

A rerun of Baja style fish tacos to use the leftover ingredients. No complaints. They remind me of home, and I crave them.

Call me a heretic, but some of my favorite cole slaw comes from KFC. Just wish they sold it in larger sizes (a large is about a cup/300ml here)

    Mine too, Ash!

I have made this, and it's close, though not quite there. Frankly I think it's because theirs has been sitting, marinating and developing flavor with whatever God knows preservatives are in there:

    https://topsecretrecipes.com/kfc-cole-slaw-copycat-recipe.html

The key is chopping everything to oblivion and letting it stand in the fridge for a day or so.

ETA: I also taste as I go, because the mayo you use affects the amounts of the other things tremendously, especially the acid.

As a bit of a follow up on yesterdays post.

Going to force myself to eat at work today (zucchini pancakes) and just have, like fruit salad or something like that tonight.

I know in the long run that it would be healthier for me to eat proper breakfast - lunch and something... less... when I get home. Especially in the summer when it's more or less too hot to eat anyway (freezing office helps during the day).

Started a new workout routine this week, and thought I'd try to eat better to go along with it. I'm ridiculous and would like to loose a few kg before I go terrorize England with short dresses and even possible bikinis!

I confidently predict it won't be bikini weather in the uk (unless you were thinking of just wearing them in LTPs apartment) . even short dresses are optimistic ....

It's for July! Bikini isn't really a good because I can't swim to save my life. Or float :( Though bikini indoors sounds like a complete waste, to be honest!

But I am a viking and I should survive the British summer in a skirt.

Quit ruining my dreams, man! It's the only thing that keeps me relatively positive anymore!

July in the UK it will probably rain and the sea will be freezing, we've had four days of blazing hot sun this week so that's summer done...

Tonight's dinner is set to be toad in the hole, the bf hankers for it now and again and the recipe is a doddle.
