I had a question I wanted to ask about writing but I forgot it. Maybe I will remember it later. I think another wooden star fell off my door but I am too tired to go fix it.
I can stand the cold outside. I'm Swedish, for crying out loud! It's the constant cold inside, both at home and at work that gets me down. I want it to be Christmas... But then we can skip right over to spring again!
Yes, this country is rubbish at keeping warm. Otherwise normal people seem to think it is weak or something to put on the central heating.
I always found the best way to warm up in winter was to go out and do something physical outdoors, like chop wood, go tobogganing, play ice hockey, or engage in a rousing bout of snow snakes. That way when you go back inside it not only feels warmer because your body's been acclimatized, but it's really the last thing on your mind when you're on your knees, grasping your chest, and trying to stave off yet another seasonally induced heart attack.
Something my spider senses have been gently bringing to my attention during the latter stages of my book writing adventure, and my recent reassessment of my state of being... ...before the grammar and punctuation run, I'll be trimming several chapters from me book. Those chapters are far more suited for the second book, and the deleted chapters from this book will be summarised into one chapter, as the topics are still valid elements of the Depression healing experience. It'll only take me a day or so to trim the book and write the new chapter, so this is not a subconscious delay tactic towards sending the transcript off to potential publishers.
Leaving revs on the first of many mind destroying, soul crushing books that might as well be written in piss in the snow. Why do the bad ones make money, why? Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????
I am fighting the bad books. They just so happen to be made up of strings of words that make up their badness. Words in and of themselves are not bad.
Watching this before trying to fall asleep again. I`ve watched this so many times but it`s reassuring to me. Hopefully I can actually sleep tonight.
This cough, worsened by dry weather, has weakened my voice to a hoarse croaking rumble. I now sound like a smug laryngitic demon with a southern drawl. I feel the pressing need to huff sulfur hexafluoride and go scare old ladies out of Catholic confessionals. That said, I had to call in sick today. Boohoo. Gonna stay home with my new frenemy, Nyquil...again. Not that I mind the downtime, but this is starting to lose its appeal. -SIN
When I’m an old man and I wind up dying in the waiting room, I apologize in advance to everyone who has to view my corpse. #beeninwaitingroomforanhour #ohgodwhy
*glances over at stove, knowing he has fresh ginger* Y'know, there comes a time, when no ones looking and desperation is hanging around your neck that you will try just about anything. I'll get back to you. As a signal, I'll like your post if it works, Xander. -SIN
- Yesterday's traintrack walk: 3 mins quicker in and out. - Was a struggle on the return leg, slept all day and awoke in the arvie. Spoiler: tiny rant... - Local tip is closed tues & thurs, thus I always plan to mow on these days and take the clippings in the next day. - Can't mow and take clippings in on same days as mowing can't start till after noon, and I may be too tired to drive to the village. - All set to mow today, but it began to spit late yesterdee arvie, even though no rain for a over a week, and it's been mild intermittent rain all night and morning. - Turns out it was good timing as I have writer's group today, thought it was a week or more away. The drawback of having no interest in time and dates. Woulda missed it if I set my day up for mowing. Spoiler: tiny walking rant... After doing the traintrack yesterdee and calculating walking speed in me mindtank, I wondered if the 10K distance was correct, as I think I'm going faster than 4kph. I re-engaged google maps and measured the distance to the halfway point. It's not 4.7km like I incorrectly remembered, it's 5.7, so imma doing 11.4km in 1:02 (my overall average over the years) That works out to 5.5kph walking pace.
Known for clearing up gammy lungs, even severely messed up lungs to the point of hospitalization, I'm only assuming it'll do the same for dodgy throat, so let us know how you go, though wouldn't be suprised it works. Ginger is a permanent part of my healthy diet, included in my daily smoothies, and to my stews.
It burns... But it really is helping a lot. Thanks, Xander. I would normally want to add a dollop of Bourbon to it, to give it a nice glow... But the Nyquil I took had tylenol in it, so it's just shy of perfection. -SIN
˜thumbsup˜ And I just researched before coming back here. It is a sore throat remedy, and some folks suggest ginger, honey and lemon is the best. I'd shove a dollop of bourbon in and enjoy the mild trip with the tylenol, though avoid driving and discussions with easily offendable folks.
