Currently going through something similar. Not suffering for it, but damn, none of the books I read are sticking around. Picked up The Bear and the nightingale, since it's supposed to be good, but....it's been sitting on my desk for days now. Just don't like it.

Maybe an out-of-genre novel could work....

Making a dijon mustard crust to top a roasted prime rib. Have to dip the bourbon balls and stuff the mushrooms with Italian cheese and clam breadcrumbs. So much to do for being high on nasty-ass cough syrup...damn being a silent asthmatic atm.

That said...I remember one Christmas I had to sit out because of pertussis. So I guess I shouldn't complain of just a little irritation.

Sewing a cable pouch. I like to sew but to be honest it is always a bit scary, especially when it is a christmas present (for my sister) and I have never done this kind of project before. Anyway, I guess I'll just continue and hope for the best :(;).

Finally snagged the 7hr C.Hitchens vid
(had to snag it 3 times; 1st 2 times no audio; had to use other downloader)
    Also got...
    Ford GT40 return to LeMans
B&W doco on american cosmetics industry
Ford vs Ferrari battle at LeMans doco from the 60s
Daniel Schmachtenberger - The war on sensemaking
Wim Hof, Marissa Peer and Gabor Mate

Snagged groceries yesterdee for next stew batch that'll be done mondee.

Nice to see RockStar are consistent. The programming for their zombie addon is just as half-arsed as the game.

The Zelda clone is good, but is taking a while to get used to frequently dying and continuing. Old school health parameters, and never played these types of games before.

Rayman Origins is soo purdy, but not the type of platformer I imagined.

It's sunday, and I sure need a rest from all the work I do through the week.

I am playing Stardew Valley because of the new update next to a bunch of sleeping dogs while snacking on Licorice Allsorts, sipping on an old fashioned and listening to old nostalgic songs. Best Christmas season ever.

Hey, people who are reading this. Happy Holidays and remember to do right by it. It only comes once a year.

IDK, watching a rant rev of The Rise of Skywalker by Shadiversity. :p
Have Mac n Cheese with pepper and sausage, and some tall boys.
Earlier today, I found a touching masterfully crafted piece of music
that touch me in the feels that I had a huge tear roll down my cheek.
Been kinda salvaging the music I lost, and finding new stuff. :)

Korean BBQ tonight. Was going to eat pizza, but eh, tired of it. Wife is going with me. Should be fun, though, I dislike dating and eating good food. Mainly because, I don't want to talk if the food is good. :p

Tallied up everything I brought gift-wise and hahahaha next year, everyone, save my youngest niece as she's a bundle of joy, is getting socks. Not spending money like this again. Nope. Put a fork in me, Scotty, I'm done.

All in all, today was a good day.

Watching youtube, while winding down after work. Wasn`t bad today at work we`re pretty much dead and slow. Lots of deep cleaning things going on. My one supervisor told me her goal is to get me to employe of the year for 2020. Looking for a way out of the job atm but if I don`t find one I guess that's a goal for now. Got some small groceries tonight, need to do some small picking up around the house tonight after testing some stuff before bed. Hate how fast the day seems to go in the winter, though it is the solstice. Time for rebirth....and eggnog....mostly eggnog.

A Newyorker sick of pizza? What blasphemy is this?

The cosmetics industry doco wasn't B&W.
It was an excellent examination from birth to current times (thus contained some B&W footage).
Containing lots of psychological elements, positive and negative, regarding society, human nature and how humans are easily manipulated when being, primarily, materialistically minded, grounded or connected to this reality.

Just seems to add weight to my ongoing ponderings that there's a scam being perpetrated upon us humans in this physical realm; not that some folks scam other folks, but whatever is responsible for this reality has designed it and human nature to be ensnared by the physical elements of existence.

It has been no surprise to me since changing my perception due to my marriage failure and fully sorting my shit out, that the masses can be so easily controlled by the few, including the few thinking they're winning\on top.

One of the elements that suggests there's conscious design to reality.

Watching Twitch...not youtube this time I`m branching out... I don`t know what I`m doing honestly, I didn`t get anything done yesterday or today. Work went well, still deep clean. Came home exhausted for no real reason and just kinda wasted time again. We don`t do much for Christmas and I`m off for those two days so hoping I can be more productive then. Or maybe we`re just in the same cycle new year. It`s not a new year yet though. Haven`t eaten anything today ether, keep going into the kitchen and looking at for food but idk nothing seems...idk.

Probably going to bed soon, or just staying up watching music streams on Twitch. May go bare basics and make a pb and j.

Worse. A New Yorker who thinks this place is an overrated abyss of crap? I'm a true heathen, worthy only of being thrown into the Brazen bull on Wall Street. My heretical screams to be unheard by the texting masses.

OT: Listening to the jackhammer outside my window while trying to read....not working. Want to write but these guys will most likely be here until lunch so....eh.

Sorry you have to listen to guys jack off.

    --

I'm procrastinating getting ready for work. Doing the classic "sit on the bed in a towel for 45 minutes" while staring into space. I should get ready, though. It'll be a rough day. Mondays at a banking center usually are.

Waking up with coffee, and getting ready to
go and hangout with the ladies from group
in a non-group related fashion, cause the lady
in Florida is going to be in town. :)
Kinda like a mini reunion of friends I suppose.
    Should be fun. :p

I just woke up (about an hour and a half ago, actually) and I'm listening to the business news about the Boeing CEO getting the boot. I still have my cold, and it's fucking annoying, so I'm going to attack it with a barrage of irresistible naps today, starting Real Soon Now.

Forgots I started soaking beans at 7pm the other day, thus didn't start makin' stew till this morn at 2am.
Gotta soak some beans at least 24hrs to remove toxins that make the gut a grumpy old thing.
Thy will be done in another hour. Still perfecting the routine, shortening the time taken and experimenting with different quantities of spices n shit. Last batch was a tad too spicy.
Once the cooking is done, I'll have me some breakie, as it'll be a few hours of cooling off before I package for freezer.

Try just a bit of cummin, some tabasco (depending on how big the portion is) and lots of black pepper. Simple and Delicious!
