My Musical IQ is 108, which I am a bit shocked at as I have zero musical ability. I thought it would be much lower.
97 beat perception, 112 mistuning perception, 115 melodic discrimination. Interesting. Thank you. I like doing things like this.

Maybe not too exciting to anyone else, but I got beam down today on my microscope and started alignments. One super off alignment made a really cool image that I shared below here in the spoiler. The other two are the microscope without covers and a mostly focused image at 390k times magnification. Fun stuff for me anyways.

I guess the others aren't working right now.

Looks kind of like an exoplanet transiting a star... with magnetosphere imagery to boot!

This is a frequent occurence. Oftentimes the infinitely large objects of space are mirrored in the infinitely small. Just look at microscopic gold diffraction patterns. Unfocused, they appear as a galaxy dispersing stars as electrons.

Sposed to be working on my horticultural NVQ but it’s dull so I’m doing this instead.

    The Impossible (?) Puzzle

    Rules:
    One continuous line
    Line must not cross itself
All sections of starting diagram must be struck through.
Each section must only be passed through once

I’ve highlighted where I failed in my attempts. You start with the image at the bottom.

Woke up one hour before curfew. I missed a walking appointment with a friend again. I haven't bought new strings again. It's dark again. I'm stuck inside again. I got to find a way to untangle this mess before I go mad... again.

And with that, work is done for 2020, and I'm digging deep into my creative writing for the next few weeks. I've had some great feedback on some recent work that has really spurred me on to writing my way out of journalism in the new year.

9 months of working from home in a glass box with an ageing laptop, half my team made redundant, twice my usual workload plus a pay cut, stress of living with horrible, abusive family, and my dog died. I'm not going to miss 2020 one bit.

Listening to the end credits of Rocky II playing in the background. You know old Sylvester Stallone gets the piss taken out of him a fair bit, but that film is nothing short of a gad-damn masterpiece! I've not felt that much emotion watching a film since... well I can't even remember the last time. The piece of music that plays as Rocky just about beats the count (Going the Distance), while Apollo fails to get to his feet and collapses in the corner, had me blubbing like a baby.

    Anyway, I blame depression.

I need to get a neck warmer. I used to have one, and it's amazing for when I ride the bike in the winter.

Have you seen the 2012 Lorax Movie? I'm suddenly reminded of the "Everybody needs a thneed" song from it. Also Thneed is such a fun word to say!

Woke up early and went to get a blood test. I haven't had one since I can't remember when and it's the first time I asked to get d3 and endocrinological analysis. I hope I fare well although I doubt it. If I fare well though, it means that I'm probably immortal. Then got a cup of coffee at my favorite coffee grinder shop and made my way to a bakery some kilometers away to buy stuff that I simply need to place in the oven for some minutes for the 25th, where I'm gonna have a mini sojourn at my place. The only thing I'm gonna be cooking is pasta carbonara in the oven and a salad. I hope I find some good raki to make rakomello, but in case I don't, there's always whiskey. A friend is bringing the wines.

The day so far is sunny with sparse clouds here and there and going to the bakery was a nice trip. It mostly felt like early spring time. It's been ages since I felt so alive.

Good show once the Dominion War picks up steam. Quark and Odo were outstanding characters, but don't get me started on how messed up Quark's bar is set up. No logic at all.
