What I should be doing is 25, tree profile sheets as part of my horticultural course. What I am doing is sketching out poems.
editing my manuscript with my big binder on the couch and my laptop in my lap. Dog #1: i can see you're working in this area. let me ever so gently step over your binder and go to the other side of the couch to give you space. Dog #2: dont know what that is, nor id i care -steps on my binder and rips a page-. that thing in your lap needs to go, too -tries to lay across my lap-
just emailed my first query. My anxiety went through the roof currently on the verge of a nervous freak out . I think i'm done with the internet for today....
Had an ultrasound scan on my shoulder today as it’s been giving me a lot of pain these last few months. The doc had to do the scan with my arm in various positions, one of which meant I had to hold my elbow to my side and rotate my arm away from my body as far as possible. This was excruciatingly painful, but I sat there while he calmly ran his gun over and around my shoulder. I winced in pain, sucked in through gritted teeth, screwed up my eyes... in the end I relented and said, “This is really painful.” To which he replied, in that wonderful manner doctors have, “Yes,” and carried on regardless.
Waiting for the meteorological agency to update its earthquake page so I can find out the power and location of the beast that just rattled my cage. ETA: shit, it looks like it was in the same place as the one that hit three years ago and smashed all my crockery. That's rumbled a couple times since as well. M3.7 on the Japanese scale.
We get small ones occasionally that rock the stuff on the shelves. I'd just as soon not experience the bigger ones.
We get them, even here in the UK, about once every blue moon. But when we get them it’s not so much “Was that an earthquake!?”, more “Who just farted?”
I’ve experienced one or two before, but they’re usually over before I’m done questioning my sense of balance.
That's pretty much all this was, but you never know here. There's a 100% (edited) 70-80% chance of the big Nankai fault going off in the next 40 30 years or so, and the estimates are 20,000 dead from the quake alone.
Wondering why I’m surfing pool cues when I don’t even own a table, or the space for one... or know of any pool halls near by. It is my dream, however, to one day own a top of the range 9ft American pool table.
Hasn’t even made the news over here yet. Israel and Hamas duking it out is holding the spotlight right now.
