Went to see Black Widow this afternoon, which was fun and thoroughly engaging, but that's unimportant. What is, however, is my newfound absolute love for Florence Pugh.

She plays the Russian "sister" to Black Widow's Scarlett, but totally outshines her in every way. Not to mention she basically became the character I'm most atttacted to in any movie instantly. Just an absolute powerhouse in so many subtle ways, making fun of the Avengers heroine's sexualized manuevers along the wayas well. The look, attitude, accent, personality, and eveything else is just incredible. I suddenly have the desire to watch anything else she's ever been in.

Okay, that's enough now. I was just unbelievably surprised anyone would supplant Eva Green from that position in my head.

She was great in that role, and she absolutely blew Johannson out of the water. She was genuinely funny too. Apparently she's been in some stuff but I had no idea who she was. After the movie was over I thought to myself, "if she doesn't become a big star it will be a shame." My friend had the same reaction.

Threads that see little traffic get buried quickly. Not sure where it is. I don’t think it’s in the lounge.

Watching reaction channels about Foodie Beauty as I'm writing a fanfic about Resident Evil. Weird combination.

It does make sense that it's under Discussion of published works though.

I always thought it was in The Lounge. Has it recently been moved?

It looks like Discussion of Published Works and The Lounge are both categories in the forum called Community Interaction.

I pushed for this change because the original section head catered to novels specifically. I always got annoyed with that because I read a lot of shorts, textbooks, or poetry, which made posting in a novels oriented discussion area not my favorite. So it has changed to a discussion of published works. Though I am branching it into talking about theory behind the text a little too.

It makes sense to me, I don't see why it would belong in the Lounge.

This is a writing forum, not a literature one. Though literature is a product of writing, the discussions for this forum are primarily to deal with the development, practice, and salability of literature the members are producing. Therefore, discussion of published literature that has already been produced is placed as a lounge item. A fun side project for those interested in the study of literature.

Treating my back with a heating pad and bourbon. Had to wash dishes at work for a few hours to help out tonight... lord almighty is that hard work. Imagine having to wash every dish you own in your house every 15 minutes. And then add an endless parade of saute and sizzle plates in top of that. And cambros, fry baskets, and stock pots large enough to boil a small child. I am not 25 anymore, haha.

I'm still in the afterglow of publishing my first novel on KDP yesterday. I wrote about it in my blog. Sold two books. One of them wasn't even to family!? Yes!

They do. Still need humans to feed them. And I haven't seen a machine that can scrub the risotto from a saute pan yet. You'd think we'd gotten past this by now.

Have you seen Homer in the flesh? At one point he claimed to be 6'5"!!!

I haven't seen him in the flesh either, and he's also claimed to be 5'9", so the jury is out on whether or not he's truly a giant dishwasher.

Sounds like a case of Superman/Clark Kent:
    Supes: 6" 2'
    Kent: 5" 11'

WH40K he could be anywhere from a
normal citizen to a short Astartes.

But I think it's safe to say that we may never know,
Homer could be anywhere from 5"9'-8ft for all
of the consistency of evidence we seem to have. :D

Official physician measurement was 5' 9" and three quarters. Can get to 5' 11" with the hair.
