I wish. Super underrated guitarist. Some of his rockabilly shit is incredible. Think he uses a Gretch hollowbody... those are nice.

Woah, I didn't know you could actually play that. Don't you need a special deck? What rules are you using?

I bought it at Disneyland. It's like a more complicated version of poker with a bigger deck of 62 cards that plays suits, opposing values, and special hands in an attempt to end the betting rounds as close to zero as possible and in the fanciest way.

Watching documentaries on YT, about the history of American diners. I have an almost insatiable fascination and love for 50s Americana; the music, lifestyle, and in particular diners.

I wonder if there are any books about the history of the diner. I’m off to check amazon.

Diners are dope. I use the quickfire, short order operational model in upscale restaurants all the time. It eliminates some of the fine-dining stuffiness that is fading into antiquity these days (though I do plan to ressurect it in 10-15 years when I launch my new-retro movement... assuming I live that long).

if you’re interested in that stuff there’s a filmmaker on YouTube named David Hoffman. He has an incredible amount of Americana-related documentary footage.

Started a work out today and gave up drinking pop.

Holy fuck. Awful. I feel like death. Can't believe I got this out ofshape after the military.

That's called aging... I used to be able to run 20 miles with a pack and weapon, these days I walk four miles with the dog and I'm sweating like a politician having his expenses scrutinised

Be careful with that! Ease into it. Any time I stop, usually because of an injury, I have to go back to just the rubber bands for a week or two before I start in on weights. I guess when I was your age I could jump in a little faster though. But take it step by step.

I tried many different routines, and what I ended up with is intermittent fasting and weightlifting twice a week. On the weightlifting days I also eat extra, called a refeed day, and those are the days I allow soda and junk food (actually a lot of junk food has crept in on fasting days too somehow, sneaky little bastards!)

As long as you don't go overboard too much, the fasting is more important for weight loss and health than dieting really. In between the workout/refeed days I usually allow myself about a 6 to 8 hour feeding window, meaning I fast for 16 to 18 hours (including when sleeping) between dinner one day and breakfast the next. I also only eat 2 meals a day, but all the rules are off on a refeed day.

To anyone wanting to lose weight or get in shape I highly recommend looking into intermittent fasting.

There's a definite cut in there just before she spits out the lids—I call fake. How did it not spill beer all over her if they were full? Would be really funny if she ended up spitting out teeth instead.

I know, but they cut something out just before that. I think they substituted empty bottles and put the lids in her mouth.
