Trying to play Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover. Not easy. Really, really, not easy. The whole damn thing has that dotted-eighth/sixteenth shuffle feel that never lets up. Plus Eric Johnson is not human.
Yeah, I'm ready to ice my wrists. I can sort of play most of it if I eliminate 25% of the notes, ignore the myriad tempo changes, refactor the tuplets into trips, drop all the accent notes, take a break half way through, etc....
Finished building a deck in my backyard this afternoon. My daughter is getting married in our back yard in October and we needed a place to have the ceremony. I cut the trees and milled the lumber at my sawmill, while I am just a chainsaw carpenter I was happy with the results.
. Thanks, when she was a little girl I offered to either help with the wedding or help her buy a house, she chose the house and a simple wedding. What the deck overlooks
@RMBROWN ”chainsaw carpenter” bullshit you sir are a god damn chainsaw artist. Love that retaining wall.
Seeing all the Diablo 2: Resurrected content is giving me serious nostalgia. Easily my favorite game growing up.
I made the mistake of playing it again. You can tell the exact moment they ran out of money and had to rush the rest of the game.
I'm putting off making my lunch and going to work. Sigh. I like my job, but I am not in the mood today.
The original. But the problems are in redundancy and lack of creativity by acts 3 and 4. Act 5 is a breath of fresh air though.
I like my job and I’m never in the mood. If ever a person were built to despise routines, I am its grossest example.
I am my job now and can no longer differentiate between the two. So when people ask me if I like it, it's like asking if I like oxygen.
This is why I took a job path of doing different stuff everyday. I'm too spoiled now and could never go back to the monotony of daily tasks in jobs. Took some effort to get to this point, but wellllll worth it.
Weighing my options. A local writers' group offers classes every fall, and the application deadline is looming. I had hoped that they would be back in person by now, but they're sticking with zoom. Bah. But as there are no better options, I'll go for it. However, I'm still deciding which class to apply for: fiction or poetry. Decisions, decisions...
I love learning new things and a new challenge. I am on business number 14 since 1976 Today I am in weather sensitive work, fighting mother nature. At 62 I still figure I am good for one more new one, I always am looking. I too am spoiled with everyday offering something new.
I dunno, I kinda like the streaks, makes it look like wood. Cars can have that effect (they call them 'woodies' I believe) why not watches? ATM I am playing Great Ace Attorney 2, enjoying it so far and anyone who has a nintendo switch and loves mysteries should give this game (and the original Ace Attorney trilogy ) a try. It's a shame that the games are one-and dones, but the point is the journey, not the destination!
