Argh, I hate when I do that too cause most of the time I don't even like to be on my computer. It just sucks my time away. So usually now when I go over to my parents house to visit, I usually bring two to three books just in case :)

Slowly working my way through The Complete Illustrated Stories, Plays and Poems of Oscar Wilde. I'm enjoying reading his works so far.

I'm still reading The Divine Comedy at a canto a day - I am actually finding this to a very enjoyable way to read this epic - but I've also started reading Orwell's Homage to Catalonia.

Reading Norwegian Wood and it is terrific. I'm glad someone on this site suggested it to me on another thread!

Norwegian Wood is a really really good book. I'm glad you are enjoying it. I think it was me who suggested it to you, but I'm not sure.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you did on my Leaving Home thread. It isn't quite what I was looking for in that respect but it is still brilliant. Thanks a lot, cause I hadn't heard of it!

I will!! I'm on vacation right now so won't get it till we return.

Finally finished the book Simply Speaking by Peggy Noonan. Towards the end she dissects the eulogy given by Earl Spencer, brother of Princess Diana. Wow, what a brilliant speech in every way, including the way he took a swift axe to the monarchy & media.

Now I'm stuck reading an overly sentimental, Christian book I promised my friend I'd read. After that, I'll have nothing to read on the beach!

Reading Next, By Michael Crichton. Picked it up on a whim, I've heard the Crichton books are amazing, so far this one hasn't disappointed.

After which I'm going to start reading Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Never read it before, and my girlfriend saw fit to buy me a collectors edition of it, so I'm going to start trucking through it.

I'm reading American Gothic by Robert Bloch. Fresh from the library, but with that delicious old book smell. Mmm.

I am currently reading...The Capture, the first book of The Guardians of Ga'hoole series by Kathryn Lasky. I got it for 25 cents at a yardsale, and it's a great book! I'm also reading, Knit Together by Debbie Macomber. It's her non-fiction book on how she became an author. I love how encouraging it is! :)

My Latest Grievance by Elinor Lipman. I'm reading it mostly for research, it was the only book on my list of boarding school type books in my library.

I'm also going to be reading, probably at the same time since these are short stories, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami. I haven't read any of his writing before but I've heard good things about him.

Gah, for some reason I can't start reading new books. I enjoyed Wonder Woman, but switched to Game of Thrones after the prologue, then found a book called Gone by Michael Grant and are about to start it. Here's hoping I can get past chapter 2 before switching books again. :p

And btw whoever said Game of Thrones is boring: I hear you. I tried watching the tv-series, but could barely make it though episode 1. :p

Started reading Popular Hits of the Showa Era by Ryu Murakami this afternoon. About a third of the way through and I'm not too keen on the style: he's telling more than he's showing.

I'm reading ''The host'' by Stephenie Meyer. Her writing style is amazing. She describes the emotions and feelings a lot. I like it!

The Hunger Games by Collins, and all of Ralph Waldo Emerson's poetry at the moment (well, more like Sphinx, because instead of turning the page to read another one, I read Sphinx again)

I am reading Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's the first book in the series that I like less. I am starting to get annoyed by the constant repeating sentences. "I'm not like other women." Yeah, yeah, yeah....
