Malcolm Gladwell, The Outliers Arthur Conan Doyle, A Study in Scarlett David d. Burns, M.D, Feeling Good
In addition to several Anatomy and Biology texts, I'm reading Lovely Bones and the Ranger's Apprentice series.
More that I'm excited for future studies. I'm not in school now but will be come the fall and I can't wait! So I'm reviewing now Finished Lovely Bones, now off to read something that will make me laugh, rather than cry.
Really? I am debating this one. Current reading projects: Emma, by Jane Austen Pride & Prejudice, by Jane Austen A Biography of Jane Austen The Real George Washington From the Corner of His Eye, by Dean Koontz The Ball & the Cross, G.K. Chesterton A Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin Yes, I need this many books at a time. I'm ADD.
I'm on Alex Roy's autobiographical book The Driver. My copy's dog-eared from so many reads. It's exhilarating.
Actually gi, it's pretty good. I love Pride and Prejudice (which is better) but Zombies didn't really mangle it. It was really funny actually. Not saying you have to read it or anything, I totally undersatnd where you're coming from, but from one twin to another who loves the classic, it's pretty good I just finished the first book of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series called The Alchemyst and I'm about to start the second one, called the Magician, both of which I've read before. this is all in preparation for the finally released third book in the series, The Sorceress It'sa really good series, and almost all of the characters are very famous people of myths, some of whom actually existed, plus the author (Michael Scott) did fantastic reseach, as all of the background information about the characters is their true background information, so it's all true facts about them. Obviously, as it's a work of fiction he's made up alot, but the backgrounds are the real backgrounds of the characters.
Perhaps I'm just a purist, but when you change things that are classics, it's not very welcome with me.
Like I said I definately understand your view but I just wanted to offer my opinion, it's what twins do
I respect your opinion of course! I'm reading the Airhead series, and it's a lot better than you think it would be, considering it's more of a teen read. It's witty, creative and entertaining, and it leaves you hanging at the end of each book. I preordered the 3rd (final?) book, and I can't wait till it comes in June I think.
Lol, Airhead was my guilty pleasure. Such a strange read, but strangely entertaining. The 2nd book wasn't as good. I'm in the queue at my library for the 3rd book.
The whole story about Nikki's past--her mom, etc... It just lost a lot of the entertainment value that was in Book 1. Also, Christopher finding out who Nikki really was seemed so anticlimatic. I think Meg Cabot should have spent a little more time/effort on that part of the story.
It was a bit anticlimatic, but I thought the backstory was pretty good. It just adds more layers to the Stark-is-evil thing. Also reading Jane Eyre.
I just finished reading Airborn by Kenneth Oppel, the first of a trilogy (I believe). I'm going to look for the second book now.
I am currently reading two books: The first is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins which is the first book in the series and I have read before. The second is Blue Moon by Alyson Noel and is the second book in the Immortals series which I brought yesterday.
Just finished the Percy Jackson series today. I really wish there was more of them. Going to the library tomorrow to get something new.
Right now I'm reading... what... about three different books? Yeah, that sounds about right. I reading The Hobbit, Re-reading the first Harry Potter, and I'm re-reading The Devil's Arithmetic. I really need to buy (or borrow) some new books. *Sigh*
