Ah. I suppose my digital collection counts as well, yes? ....Loads of J-pop. Too many songs to count, so don't ask. Thank Izanagi they're all digital. Cause no way in hell would I amass albums. I hate clutter.
I collect unrequited love, unfulfilled desires and memories of all the times I've been rejected by crushes- Oh, those collections! I collect knives, concert ticket stubs, action figures and stickers. Typical.
Some doctors do suggest patients with things like anxiety get cats to calm them down. (I know this is the wrong thread for a useless fact, but I collect those too.)
I started collecting these little robo-moe girls. I get at least one when I go to a convention. They're kind of expensive, so I only have three so far. This one hangs out on my monitor.
Hmmm images not working for me. Nevermind. Okay this should work. But yea she has friends, too. I will eventually assemble an army of them.
I like to collect signed books when I can get them. Authors I have books from at the moment: Brandon Sanderson, Orson Scott Card, James S. A. Corey, Terry Brooks, Patrick Rothfus, David Weber, Robin Hobb, Brian McClellan, Myke Cole, Peter Tieryas. Most of those I got in person, a couple from the book store.
Books seems to be what I get excited about anywhere I go. I tend to keep an eye out for treasures at thrift shops and the like; though, I'll admit, I'm not always sure what treasure I'm looking for until I find it. It keeps me happy. I keep my collection slim. I'm not looking to be a snob about it, just something to keep me content. When I'm not collecting random books I didn't know I needed, experiences seem to never been in shortage--but I guess we all collect those.
I suppose you could say I collect books, but I buy them in order to read them. The collection is really a by-product. I used to collect playing cards, but never got past maybe two dozen decks.
I collect keyrings and stones. I have near to 300 key rings. Some are rare, others aren't. Some are quite expensive and i have one worth a fair bit because of were it was (it is a whistle key ring used in world war 1, that whistle was used to signal the start of the somme offensive in the trenches) As for my stones (pun intended), I have bauxite, very clear and uncracked quartz crystals, jade, beryl, emerald, some kind of clear ish purple rock I dont know exactly what it is along with various types of ore (nickel, iron, cobalt, copper, tin, platinum and what not. I also have a random "normal" rock I have taken from souvenirs and the likes. I also have a few fossils and some asphalt, coal, opal and a few other random stuff like that
I collect mangas which I like. Most of which are bought from a 2nd hand book shop. This time I decided to complete One Punch-Man and Akatsuki no Yona. I worried about the latter because it's hard to find volumes in my local bookstore. I like to keep coins that have unique designs especially the old ones and those that came from different countries. I have a collection of trading cards, but I stopped buying YuGiOh because the prices are ridiculous. I have never finished building any deck I like because I need multiple copies of certain cards. The only ones I'm collecting now are Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. I'm pretty proud of the latter because the cards are cheap and I've built a bunch of decks to play with my friends. As for Pokemon, I just like opening boosters to see if there's a rare card. I'm also building gundam kits. Planning to paint one of my SDs when I get a chance to buy paints. Not sure if it counts but I have a collection of shiny pokemons in my 3DS. It's pretty boring if the shiny hunt goes on for who knows how long but the shinggg part is very rewarding. I almost screamed in the public a couple of times.
