What do you guys think about a short story where A man figures out that the world is actually being controlled and observed by rats. He trys to tell people but they think he's crazy, the story's whole struggle is hime trying to convince people. Could this be a good idea if written correctly or is it a dumb idea?
Why would it be a "dumb" idea...? Almost any idea will make a good story, if the writing is good--and even a great idea will come off sounding cheesy if presented with bad writing. yours in Chaos, Scarlett
the idea, good but I don't like the whole story being about him convincing people. it would be a lot of show me this and stuff. maybe if somone believes him right away and they do stuff together
It could be a really cool novel to have the rats controlling him for the positive. What do rats know that we don't?!
Didn't some guy have the world run by mice? Anyway, I think it'd make for an interesting story, but if these rats are any kind of clever, I'm not sure how you'd get to a resolution.
Ever read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Mice are the overlords in that story, and most people would consider that a successful novel. So your basic premise can be made to work. I'm not saying you should follow in Douglas Adams' footsteps. His style is his own, and you need to make your own approach to the story. How well it works depends on how well you write it, not on the initial concept.
