Another random question--again, it's probably been asked before, but where did you get the idea for your avatar picture? Mine is the character I'm most like on a show called Fruits Basket. I'm kind of nerdy in an I-like-anime-but-not-obsessively sort of way.
My avatar? She is Nietzsche! Not to be confused or related to the philosopher in any way. She is the cutest mermaid I have ever seen. I like cute things. Thus, my avatar must also be cute! Since Nietzsche is cute, I chose her as my avatar. Hurray for cuteness!~
A head-shot taken from a pop-art rendition of Godzilla attacking Tokyo. Godzilla is my primary obsession and has pretty much decided my career choices and motivates a lot of my creative ideas.
My avatar is "Vicious", the main protagonist to Spike from the anime series Cowboy Bebop. Considered by some to be Spike's darker half. I chose him also because I look a bit like him, same sort of hair and face although I re-coloured his hair to be closer to mine and removed the psycho glare and the bags from is eyes which I don't have. ScaryMonster.
Mine is a sociological abstraction, ascertaining to the phantasmal myriads of hyper-technological occults of the future that are captivating a lost generation and promoting acedia and ultimate distance from reality itself.
Mine is the ugliest of the various Toronto Maple Leafs logos throughout the team's history. It symbolises that while times may be tough, a little core, if only in name and form, still exists of the club's former glory, and one beautiful day it will emerge again. Of course, for those not in the know, the Leafs are the single most important sporting team in all of Canada. Just listen to the team's godawful theme song! Also, I meant to change it but the team hasn't lost since I starting using it, and so it stays.
Mine is the ultimate truth in life. Or perhaps it just symbolizes my over-obsession with roller derby.
Mine is the dude from the band, Disturbed. Though i only use it, cause i like it. Edit - might update it. Edit - Something more relevant to my current listening.
I've always wondered... Now I know! Mine is my beautiful baby who I've made into the Obama 'Hope' poster. Make of it what you will.
Mine is Edward Elric from the Full Metal alchemist anime, its the first time I tried adding single cell colour digitaly to one of my drawings, unfortuanitly, I resized it a little to much, distorting it from the stright edges it originly had. Yes I like Anime! I'm also a fan of manga, asspiring to be and illustrator.
Mine is of myself standing under a sign that says "Torana Ave" and was at the Motoshow in Busselton when our car broke down on the side of the road and we were left stranded. I ended up sitting in a bar, drinking vodka, and went to heaven, as there was 10 Torana's there. 10!!!!
I change mine pretty frequently, but for the last few months its been various pictures of my favorite soccer players Currently it is Nathan Sturgis who is got pulled from the Sounders in the expansion draft and now plays for Totonto after some trades; needless to say I'm still upset he got taken and in a show of support/mourning/not sure what you call it, I've been adopting a Nathan Sturgis avatar I'm ever so slightly into soccer
I change mine alot, but right now I have Col from The Sixth Sense. I love that scene, I loved that kid, and I love that movie. So that's why it's there, I guess. I'm a horror film fan.
Almost a year ago I guess I decided I wanted a Vash The Stampede signature. So I got on a forum I frequent and requested from one of the signature makers to make me one. Along with the signature I got a avatar. I really liked it so... I have been using it for most places. Personally I just love the character Vash from Trigun. He can be a complete bad ass or he can be a hillarious drunk. I also love what he wants: Love and Peace.
My avatar shows some Easter Island statues - because I'm Islander, of course and also because they're symbolise myth and great mysteries buried in time to me.
it's a still from 'deep impact'... just wishful thinking, resulting from a long lifetime of having observed how dangerous our species is to its own kind, as well as all else on its home planet and surely would be to the rest of the universe, should it ever find a way to spread its evils beyond here...
