Too bad about the lounge, but this forum could do without the debate room.

If people didn't like it, they didn't have to go there. If people didn't like what people were saying to them, they could have put them on ignore... it works. I've done it.

If you don't like something it has to be stopped. Get with the program Lewdog.

Besides, could be reversible error at this point.

Yep, any petty little issue that you don't like, everyone else must accommodate your needs because you're not a human that can adapt to those little problems or be able to acknowledge them as such and just move along with your day. ;)

I'm pretty sure when people are personally attacking, a bully with a bunch of cheerleaders, ignoring them doesn't address the problem. Maybe one feels the need to defend one's political positions despite the unpopularity of them. Now where have I heard that before? Oh that's right, the Constitution.

And being a contest admin, it's not very ethical to put anyone on ignore.

Petty little issues do not include 20+ posts specifically calling a member stupid, unethical, dishonest and a hypocrite for not holding the same political opinion.

Ignore has worked wonders for me!

Also a big shout out to the mods who have to spend so much time cleaning up in the debate room. My bills are paid for modding forums elsewhere and the most toxic forums (ie, video games with lots of people shooting) are the biggest headache for me. I can imagine that having to read through pages of vitriol on a forum dedicated to creative writing isn't very enjoyable.

Maybe I'm not talking about you and you shouldn't be quick to judge someone just because they disagree with the political candidate that you support and support someone that you disagree with. Maybe I was taking a dig at something else and you immediately thought that I was talking about you, maybe this is a sign that maybe you should open your world view just a little bit and think outside of the spectrum of you and yourself when people are making facetious statements.

    Why did you get my hopes up, 123456789? Why? They were dashed so quickly. ;.;

    Hi,

If it was complaints about members and posts wouldn't they just block those members or threads? And no one's made an announcement. Sounds more like some sort of technical glitch to me.

On the positive side it does give me more time to watch the ascension of my latest work up the Amazon charts! Maybe they want everyone else to watch too!

    Cheers, Greg.

I was hoping it meant that the RP forum was up too, our GM is kind of a drunk and it's hard to get him motivated, I caught him in a rare mood tonight! XD

I don't have a problem with anyone that disagrees with me. I have a problem with the personal attacks and piling on that has gone on in the political debates. You said:
There was nothing petty about the personal attacks in the politics forums.

Yes, but I wasn't talking about you, or about that. You just assumed that I was.

If the rules were enforced, that should have happened, but it didn't. The mods let it go on and on when they could have nipped it in the bud.

OK this is exciting! You have a book for sale that is doing well? Is it something for sale in the forum bookstore? You are allowed to tell us. :D

Is there an infraction system here? Like when somebody breaks a rule (ie, flaming/trolling), they get an infraction? The forums where I do my dirty work, if somebody gets 3 infraction points, they get banned automatically. It's a beautiful system.

Because that was a discussion you were part of and that was going on just before the lounge and debate room disappeared. Yes, I assumed you were talking about me and that. Who else reported posts in the politics threads?

Who else does this apply to?

...Dude, I'm an anti-feminist, put the damn dots together, I make jokes like that all the time. I didn't even realize you were talking about that, frankly, if I did and I forgot, then, well, obviously, it wasn't in the forefront of my mind when I wrote it.

And look what we've got: a debate. I wonder what section this should go in. If only there was a section for these types of arguments so that they didn't flood into other parts of the forum.
