OMG your profile picture is so cute. I just want to hug it. :friend:

Yes..... Yes, you did. I envy you.

Um.... I'm in Richmond, Virginia.... Seems like we're in the same boat. :p There was just a huge crisis in the area because they decided to change the name of a middle school. It was originally named after Henry F. Byrd, who was adamantly against racial desegregation, and a lot of people thought we shouldn't be honoring someone like that. So it turned into a war between "that's racist" and "that's history." They just officially changed it, so hopefully I won't hear about it anymore...

Yes, a lot of places in Virginia seem nice. My problem is, I'm neither a history buff nor a hipster, so my options of things to do are quiet slim. It essentially comes down to history museums or craft breweries....

So I sit at home and talk to you guys instead. :D

It's very pretty. But there's no ocean.

The river was pretty, and the ocean not far. But I was mainly wandering around old town Alexandria, which was just a nice place to grab a pint and look around.

I didn't make it to a craft brewery, but since I was just visiting I did wander around and look at historical buildings and things like that :)

@Lea`Brooks @123456789 Indiana keeps Bernie moving along. Nomination or not, he will be in good shape at the convention (of course, the committees will be stacked by the DNC/Clinton people, but if they have any hope of uniting the voters in their party (which doesn't seem entirely likely, thankfully) Bernie is going to have some impact on the platform at the very least.

Indiana was open. You let independently-minded, rational, free-thinking, intelligent people vote in your primary, and look what happens to your establishment candidate. It has been the same story throughout the cycle. The DNC is going to need to figure out how to close more primaries and maybe add in more superdelegates...

2.5 hours from the beach. The mid atlantic is a nice area, but nothing compares to California.

Y'all heard what Debbie said, right? In her personal opinion as Debbie, not the DNC Chairwoman, ALL primaries should be closed primaries. Independents should get no say in the selection of the democratic nominee.

    How very democratic of her.

She's a shill for Clinton, and she doesn't like the fact that their annointed big-money candidate actually had to do a little work (and by little, I mean as little as possible thanks to the DNC).

    @Lea`Brooks @123456789 @Acanthophis

A humorous anecdote relating to the elections and our discussions in the Debate Room. I actually came across an article over the weekend entitled something along the lines of "Hillary Clinton Supporters are Ignorant, Immoral, or Both." The point being not to debate that particular assertion, since you know what I think about it and I know what you think about it. The point being:

SOMEONE IS LURKING ON WF AND STEALING MY IDEAS!

*looks around for a copyright lawyer*

    Oh, wait....

Tijuana and San Diego would be nice for us...

    ...

I've only travelled from Auburn down to San Diego, kind of bi-passed Los Angeles. Found it very disorientating at the time, the different smells, wide skies, wide cars and women [joke - just alliterated :)...is the word, think so...

There's a new ad on my youtube.

It's for a coffee brand Campbell's ad that has Darth Vader on it.

The dad is feeding his son cheerios and doing the whole "Khh! I am your fazza!"
And the the other DAD is also like "Khh! I am your father!"
First dad is like "worst vader ever"

And I am like "Best pro-gay ad ever"

I wanted to post the other day about the Minutemen guy falling out the back of a van...I typed it up, probably commonplace story in the States, I always found it poignant.
