Nothing to be ashamed of being a stay at home mom. That is what I am at the moment. Though only due to my daughters ongoing health problems and wanting to give her the best start in life. Be proud of being at home taking care of your family! At least you won't be missing out on seeing them grow up! It was a common thing back in the early days for woman to stay home and take care of their children. So why should anyone be looked down upon for it now?
I am an illustrator, and I do photo corrections for wedding photos. Things like fixing teeth--making them whiter, fixing eyes, removing major blemishes, smoothing out skin . . .
I'm a software developer. I used to be a research chemist. I'd like to be a college math and science teacher.
wow someone resurrected and oooooold thread i'm an office drone for the time being. musician on the side. going to grad school starting next week... so that i can get a job i actually want
I am an interpreter. *and it appears that someone is a threadcheologist 'cause this thread is... vintage.*
I'm still a student, but I'll be looking for a job in a couple of weeks I think, maybe as late as May.
I am a student, but i also work for a company called Gordon Food Service. Just basic job trying to work to pay for college.
It's not that I'm ashamed I just don't relate to most stay-at-home moms. I don't see being a parent as a job or a calling, it just doesn't make sense to work when I'd only be making 2 or 3 dollars an hour after daycare costs. Plus I'd rather be home playing with her and sleeping in than working. I'm not ashamed of not wanting to work, I hate work.
Yep, being a full-time mum wasn't exactly a 'job' but it was certainly hard work for me! I decided to enjoy it when my kids were small and didn't see the point in paying another person to look after them, then I went back to work when they were older. Now I'm a university lecturer and wishing I could pack the whole thing in sometimes--the competition is exhausting and there's no time for a private life. My revenge is forum-ing in office time. (Hope they aren't monitoring me here... oops!)
Now how can I answer this so you believe me? A real spy would deny it. But a non-spy would also deny it. What a predicament. How is this: if I was a spy do you think I would post on the internet using my real name and say where I work? I love my job but it is nothing so glamorous as all that. The most general description I can offer is that we act as a liaison between the US Department of Defense and the host country government.
I'm a spork. I trasnsfer food from various forms of dishes into people's mouths.I often poke the top off my head into the more slippery and/or slimey food. Sometimes I even cut things.. like weiners =D. Ok, immature time over now :^).
