    What is your favorite food?

Discussion in 'Character Development' started by Trish, Mar 16, 2011.

One of the new characters has an odd favorite food that she eats all the time. It's a quirk, and it's important to making her real, but I can't think of anything odd enough. Help me out?

Mine aren't that odd Soc tends to go for fish and pasta, stew, ginger tea and cake lol He is supposed to have poo juice (vegatable smoothie), seaweed and rice.

What about chocolate omlette? deep fried mars bar (scots delicacy) ? Chicken and oyster soup ? Green pepper and peppermint stew ? chilli custard ?

What's a deep fried mars bar? Like the candy bar? Or something else?

Yep mars bar in batter and deep fried - very sickly and not very good for you.

I seen some really weird combinations with noodles. Syrup noodles among other things.

Edit: But I would go for a favorite spice, like curry, she adds to everything.

Yorkshire Pudding is like an oven baked pancake lol sorry I forget they aren't normal around the world.

What about Goat's testicles dipped in chocolate lol ? What kind of thing are you looking for ? Main meal, snack, something real but unusual or like every flavour beans made up?

a containing character quirk could be food related ... the character's need to douse everything with hot sauce ,even peanut butter and jelly...when without a bottle of Tabasco the character is incorrigible

I think I need something real but unusual, although goats testicles would make for some very interesting and uncomfortable moments with the men in the book....lol

Hidden...I don't know what to say but I actually want to try that. It sounds GOOD :)

W176- I hadn't considered the spice thing... hmmmm.

An odd food? How about apple pie topped with a slice of american cheese?

    Yea, people eat that. :(

Or how about coleslaw made with ketchup rather than mayo so that it appears red?

How about tripe? That's not a made up food - but it should be. Cows stomach with vinegar! Or jellied eels. A delicacy darn sarf. Sheeps brains. (didn't even know they'd got 'em). Pigs trotters.

    I'm on a roll.

Oxtail soup! Whoever decided that would be a gastronomical delight?
Tadpole soup. Frogs leg pancakes. Tapioca pudding. I remember being tortured with that.

Feeling queasy. Reaching for the Rennies.

    Whipped cream and bologna.

No, I didn't just make this up. My ex considered this disgusting combo a comfort food.

My son's (7 years old) favorite food is Peanut Butter-Banana-Bologna Sandwiches with a drizzle of Honey and a sprinkling of cinnamon on buttered bread. Not Kidding.

I agree, my Grandpa puts garlic powder on everything. Also, my dad puts mayonnaise in cottage cheese. It makes me want to puke thinking about it. Maybe that?

My favorite food is - artichoke! They take an hour to cook on the stove. I would make them all the time in college. You tear off the leaves and dip them in butter.
