For the poll, Rock, simply because most of my music could be considered that. I would say pretty much all of it applies to me. As long as the music moves me/ inspires me in some way, I'll listen to it. I really can't understand hating a genre. I get hating certain artists or songs, but I've found at least one song in each genre that I like (even, sadly, country....). That said, I listen to a whole lot of 80s hair metal, 90s alt. rock, and a decent amount of metal. Current music doesn't really do anything for me, sadly. There are a few exceptions, but I'm mostly sticking with bands that survived from the 80s/90s. For an idea of how varied this is, I've got a bunch of Duran Duran (go 80s) CDs next to all my Dream Theater (go 80s/90s/00s prog. metal) CDs. Lots of Tool and lots of Train.

Metal. Power and progressive predominantly, then thrash and melodic death, then core. Electro. Aussie Hip Hop. Jazz and Latin and funk and **** like that for my drummings sake. etc etc

It's ok - we're not usually known for our Hip Hop I would have linked to the dudes that sang about "a two dollar bag of hip hop fresh from the local fish n' chip shop", but I can't for the life of me remember who actually sang it!
Yeah ill listen to anything except like stupid dance and r&b, i can appreciate proper dance music like the chemical brothers but terrible dj's is my pet hate. Metal mostly though
Oh man I absolutely love screamo music, but not rap and such because it's so repetitive (and im not racist cuz i luvs me some Killswitch Engage!) like "Yo yo i sell drugs and like that booty all in my face" (No offense ) i don't really like songs like that but beyond some amusement i dont listen to rap and or hip-hop, although i dress baggy (lulz the irony!) I like bands like: Underoath Saosin Killswitch <-- not screamo, i think metalcore Blessthefall As Cities Burn and a bit of Mozart Season
