Oiks - an uncouth or obnoxious person.

According to Merriam-Webster, olivette is also a theatrical floodlight consisting of a 1000-watt bulb in an open-front metal box usually mounted on a telescopic pipe stand or hung from a batten. Something I noted while looking, no source I found lists both definitions.

Olivette is also the name of a city in St Louis, County, Missouri. Its official site has an article titled, "Spotlight on Olivette".

Yes, mate, I fancy relish, but only the dill variety, and only on frankfurters.

A veridical paradox produces a result that appears absurd, but is demonstrated to be true nonetheless.

Incel stands for “involuntarily celibate” and is a shadowy online community of men who rage against women, or “Staceys” as unattainable, attractive women are called in the incel community, for not giving them the sex they feel they are owed ...

[May be feminist propaganda, but it seems interesting.]

The incel community is definitely a thing. But to me, there are two kinds, individuals that are close to being true incels due to poor genetics, bad social skills and no motivation to try (think guys at home with their waifus), and then the self proclaimed ones like that Elliot Roger guy, who definitely could have had a girlfriend if he had resolved his mental issues.

Oh, yeah, those guys have been around for a while now. I first heard about them in connection with the Toronto van attack, though reading about it now, it seems that people are minimizing the connection

Oh, I assure you, they are 100% real and serious. These people came up with so much of their own theory and terminology in their own internet spaces laying out bare exactly what's wrong with them.
Really, most of them are just sad people. Lonely, repressed young white guys who feel the need for someone or something to blame. You kinda feel sorry for them. Except for the misogny of course. And the fact someone of them like Elliot Rogers turn to violence.

What a lonely word. I'm reminded of an article I once read about the last known member of an uncontacted tribe in the Amazon. Researchers would see him from time to time, shaking his spear at them as they flew overhead, but they never tried to get close to him. It's sad to imagine a fish or a rhino dying alone, the last of its kind; but so much more tragic for a person who knows and understands their situation.

Well, dang, you've made me all melancholy on a Friday night. Or maybe I was just feeling that way anyway.

Not disproportionately, no, they even have terminology based around the idea POC men get extra rejection due to racism, with terms like “ricecel” (East Asian incels) or “currycel” (South Asian incels). But they are definitely on average young white men. And they are heavily associated with white supremacism, neo-nazism and anti-semitism, despite the fact POC members complain about racism (you'd think they'd stay away from a community associated with racist far-right politics if racism is something they're worried about). It's noteworthy that while acknowledging the impact of racism on people's standards of physical attractiveness, their race-related terminology is itself evoking heaving stereotyping and generalisation. They also categorise the "chads" with similar racial terminology, for example "chad" black men are called "Tyrones".
As I said, the key characteristic is that they are lonely, upset people. They generally identify with high rates of autism, depression, suicidal thoughts, lack of sexual experiences, and more often than not they are struggling in education and jobs as well. The irony of inceldom is they pull themselves down further, by giving up, wallowing in self-pity and hate, and becoming toxic people that are only less likely to get a date. Pity really.

There's a youtuber who calls themselves "Contrapoints" who did a pretty good video on the topic. They're trans (identified as gay in earlier videos, and I'm not entirely sure where they are on that topic currently, so take my description with a grain of salt) and not for everyone as the presentation in their videos can be rather over the top, with the presenter playing different characters in discussions with each other at times. The information is pretty solid, but the videos might not be for everyone.

Incels are real. I can direct you to an echo chamber where they hang if you like. It's quite interesting to try to figure out if people are trolling or being real.

Time to apply all this knowledge.

At the climacteric of the Tik Tok era, an incel trendoid filmed himself smashing an amphora over the head of the last Boomer. He then jugulated the addled endling, proving that they were not perdurable. What an oiks.
