What one thing would you remove from the 21st century?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Arannir, Dec 2, 2013.

So what would you get rid of? What do you think should've not exist in the current time?

Personally, I'd choose to get rid of the rich-poor divide.

The housing bubble but not other asset bubbles? Not the economic structure that engenders bubbles? Not the social relations upon which that structure is predicated? Not the assiduous work of beneficiaries of those relations to maintain them? Approaching the thread concept in this way is a bit silly...

I would remove the day I applied to uni. Worst decision I have made thus far. Although, I think I could make a strong case for ridding the country of the Conservative Party.

Let's keep things civil, people. I'm not sure there's much point to this thread in the first place - it doesn't seem to be generating any interesting discussion - but people are already starting to step on each other's toes in here.

I don't want to have to issue warnings, but I'm watching this thread, and I will if it becomes necessary. And this thread, seeing as how it doesn't seem to do anything except cause friction, is a prime candidate for being closed.

Abortion - If we consider that the 21st century began in 2001 and continues for 100 years, then removing abortion would save 4 billion people from being killed.
