I was gonna say "not if I can help it", but I should take into consideration that I'm probably not helping with my "literary works".
Look on the bright side. Im at 160k words and i need to cut it down to 90k or so. try that on for size!
At that point I'd consider splitting it in half. The only reason I didn't do that with my thing is because I had no idea how to give the first half a reasonably resolved ending.
