What would be a good location for 12 people to get stranded on?

Speedwell Cavern in Derbyshire. This is an underground cavern accessed by boat. They take you there and leave you on an outcrop of ground while they take the previous tourists back. It's quite scary, water too cold and deep to wade, low roof, depending on how much rain there's been. I did worry as the boat sailed away leaving us there... what if it did 't come back for us. If it rained heavy would the water reach the tunnel roof leaving the caver cut off. I will never go down there again.
