What would it take to terraform Mars?

    It has been estimated that it would take 100,000 years to terraform Mars, if it can be done at all, which is a very big if. There is a research paper about this on line; I'll try to find it later.

    In my current work, the city of Ares on Mars is protected by an enormous dome. If the entire planet is not terraformed, perhaps you could apply this solution?
