There was a book scheduled to come out this year that was announced last winter by Publisher's Weekly. The title and cover had been released and I made a note to myself to order it. Jump forward to just now, I didn't remember ordering it so I looked it up... and the book has a completely new name and vastly different cover just curious why/how this could happen. Like, what circumstances could lead to the waste of money in advertisements and designers (idk if the original cover and title ever went to print)
The Coup's fine communist rap album Party Music was set for a September 2001 release but, in light of intervening events, the cover was considered ill-advised: So they changed it to this:
ooof! yeah that rotten luck right there. the cover and title of the original book seems pretty innocuous enough... "Scorched in Stone"
