Well we're now in 2007 What Would You Like To See Happen in the next 12 months for 2007? Have you any plans or is there anything you might like to predict? ~Raven.
Hahah, bloody hell, loads and loads and loads. Well there are hopes that stand little chance of actually being achieved, such as a full line of A*s in the GCSEs, or striking up certain relationships - but they're too personal for anybody to be interested in. Ummmm....I'd like to finish some kind of story actually, I dont believe I have ever done so unless it has been a short story, or a rushed school assignment. I think I might take part in this year's nanowrimo, if I get the chance, and hopefully that will help me well on my way. I'd like for this wonderful surge of music (in my personal opinion ^^;; ) to continue further so that I can be inspired throughout the trialling periods this year will offer. I'd like...I'd like some good news in terms of the environment, a little less negativity about it all. In fact I'd like to be faced with a lot less pessemism this year because its rather irritating. I'd like this year to be a wonderful experience, a happy year and one I wont forget =). But then I'll wish that with every year, so there you go =P.
I'd like to see global warming speed up a little. We're having another mild winter and the last few summers have been pretty good too. I like the idea of sunbathing on Margate beach in October/November watching the dolphins swim by. There's a good chance Iraq will descend into all-out-undeniable civil war, though it's by no means certain. I plan to sub to a lot more short story comps this year and hope to place in enough of them to earn maybe £500 in prize money. Not a fortune, but it'd be nice. Cheers, Rob
I would like to get rich. Very rich. And yeah, passing my last year at high school would be alright too.
I hope Playstation 3 comes out with better games. As for a personal somethingorother, I hope I do well in Reno. You see I'm going there for a Nationals bowling tournament. If I placed first (not likely, but...) who knows what could happen. My hopes are that I'll go there, take first place and a talent scout or something will acknowledge my superior status and sponsor me. Haha, I'm not quite living on fantasy Island, but...I've got tickets to go there.
If george bush dies then potential priceless comedy will die with him. As for Blair, well I haven't an opinion, he seems harmless, like a daddy long legs spider.
Let me see..... well, I would like to actually write more than one page on my book. I would like to win lotto (pretty much a given) I would love to miraculasly lose weight. (HA!) To be with my BF even more. To actually save so I can go to Japan in the next two years and then finally move out of home.... again... and then to own a car. And then to get internet of my very own.... wow., I'm getting depressed... where's my chocolate???
Sensus Communis - what did it ever mean? I think Einstein said it was nothing more than all the prejudices you get by the time you reach 18. The German philosopher Kant argued that common sense existed because we all had the same mental faculties as humans - the result of which was that people who didn't show 'common sense' (ethnic minorities/ different cultures/ writers...) were not human. By definition we should all have it - but everyone says no one does. Me - I want to be accepted, appreciated, recognized.
I also just want to get published. If I get recognized (not the Z Mr B), then it'll be a major bonus.
