All of this would happen in Samantha's backstory, but bumping for justice. Since she only uses computer for work, it would be tech-support's problem. Her mentor and boss is old enough to remember how Crime Scene Investigators did things before electronic filing systems, and Samantha would actually be fascinated enough to embrace the change in procedure. He would subspect that he is luckly powerful. He walked down the busy street and watched that the light was a green. He yelled "RED LIGHT," and the light changed from green to red. He tested to see if the traffic light change to green, and it worked. He later come to find out that he could fly, and his brother has been dead ever since he saw him again, that his brother posted as his guardian angel, giving the MC the ability to fly and use other powers. He spends a lot of time drunk. He has a bit of a drinking problem. He's very talkative when drunk, he'll say really stupid things sometimes reveal personal secrets even if their not his to tell. Your MC's greatest joy is... Samantha loves to use her natural skills to be useful. I don't think she has true photographic memory, but she can remember anything that she has noticed with great clarity. She also notices very small details. She's also decent at drawing. Her normal life had her as a crime scene investigator. I can't remember which roles she plays on the team, but she replaced two people. When she gets trapped in a video game, she's able to recite the entire script of the game, saving the canon characters from having to make those mistakes, but introducing opportunities to make new mistakes. During her backstory, she'd probably inch away, try to ignore him, all the while running through scenarios where her self-defense lessons would come into play.
