Yes, plenty of them are waiting. For example: Amos: Write me! Write me! Miguel (The 1850s version of him): No! Ignore him! Write me! I'm totally more original than some angsty, anti-British, blind kid in Revolutionary America! Amos: <insert swear word in French>!!! *attacks Miguel* Like you're any better Senor "Mexican orphan who's parents got killed and was discovered by an American soldier who took you to his plantation home in Alabama!!" Miguel: <insert swear word in Spanish>!! Kenny Baker (1950s version of Amos): Uh...I'm not even an orphan and am very much an American child, but I'm also vying to be the blind detective in Link's mysteries. Miguel & Amos: GET HIM!! *Drags him onto the floor* *Fights on the floor like the immature brats they are* Omar: You can write about me, but I strongly recommend that you study the Islamic faith beforehand. Don't write until you know as much as possible about my faith. It's as familar to you as Christianity. I know I sound like I'm making a big deal about it. That's because it is. Religion is a touchy subject and you must be as accurate as possible. Heridon: I've been waiting since he was 14. Been an alien, elf, child, adult. I'm cool with the fact that he may never write about me. I'm just there for his sole entertainment. Helen: *Plucks pedals out of a flower* American or Scottish? American or Scottish? American or Scottish? They both sound so wonderful, but which one should I be? Kenthew: Should I liberate my planet from slavery or should I just be a randon Devonian kid that travels with Miss Chert? Me: *Takes out a laser sword* Everyone but Omar and Heridon? Die. Painfully. What snacks does your MC like?
Platnum, gold or silver, she is not picky. Does your character enjoy flying? (magical or normal per persona)
Franz absolutely loves flying. It's nearly spiritual to him in a way. The fuel costs are prohibitive and it's not something he does often, but flying is one of the very few luxurious past-times he allows himself. Leon has flown only once, as of yet. The plane, a hijacked airliner, was shot down over the Philippine Sea, one of his best "friends" died & he had to jump wounded & without a parachute, plummeting into the ocean from 30,000 feet & washing up on a remote island, where he was hunted down by the forces he defected from and nearly killed. Overall, not a good experience. Kinda turned him off to flying. What would your MC say if they had the chance to try to persuade you to change their setting/world, personality, conflict, etc.?
What would your MC say if they had the chance to try to persuade you to change their setting/world, personality, conflict, etc.? Amos, Miguel, and Kenny: PICK- *I murder them all dead* Heridon: o___O Uh, wow. Well, I would recommend that you'd not make me so anti-you. Why can't I like history as well? Kenthew: I know you want me to be somewhat childish, but can you please let me also be mature? I don't want to be that silly, blind Devonian kid that Miss Chert has to take care of. Your MC wants to renovate his/her house. What would it look like and which room?
Your MC wants to renovate his/her house. What would it look like and which room? For Essie, it would be her mother's old Victorian home. She'd probably want to give it a slightly more modern feel on the inside without compromising the estate. Her room, however, would be as bare as could be; grey walls, a bed, white sheets, a nightstand, and that's it. Dimitri, however, would probably go off on some random decorating spree just to annoy Essie. The more color, the better. He'd no doubt settle for a more decadent, Indian-esque feel, with plenty of drapes, plush cushions, carpets, and trinkets sitting everywhere. And like always, Essie would remain tight-lipped until he would leave the room, then kick one of the cushions out of her micro-rage. What's the name of your MC's favorite dining place? Where is it located? What is the best food they have there that your MC would vouch their life on?
Leon, "Until I came to the Collective, I hadn't eaten anythin' I hadn't killed or foraged for myself for years and years... otherwise, the mess hall here. Their biscuits and porridge ain't bad. Beans, corn, mushrooms, wheat, oats.. yeah, definitely more and better than I've eaten in a damn long time. It even has meat in it sometimes, but... I don't eat that. I'm fine with rat, which I know they farm a lot, but I know the veterans are required to donate their bodies when they die... all of their body, and I kinda doubt they'd tell us grunts where it all ends up..." Franz, "...You're correct, but all meat here is processed and graded for quality; only the best going to the mess hall. The rest we sell or give away to the indigent in the Safe Zone, or use as livestock feed or fertilizer... You're lucky to feel you have the luxury of a choice. Many don't and are not so picky." Leon, "Ah... I don't want to eat human flesh, so I'm spoiled, eh..?" Franz, "Oh, come on now..." *Takes a bite of extra meaty porridge* You're stuck in a car with your MC on a long road trip (6-8hrs) with nothing to do, no radio, etc. How's it go?
Ashwin won't let me drive his truck. It's a souped up truck with features that aren't yet available to human markets and he doesn't want to risk A: That precious first scratch. And B: That he'll be charged with bringing attention to the vampire race yet again. So for six to eight hours with no sleep and no rest he gets all cranky and high and mighty. Shaun can't really drive yet. Kenneth is great company. Knows a ton of trivia about movies, bands and TV shows so we have a lot to talk about on the way. Paul never gets out much so it's a long and awkward drive.
Omar: I would like to ask the next person how they feel about creating their characters. Have they tried writing a character that they never thought they could write? Amos: I would also like to ask the next person if they ever struggled with a work. If so, what kept them going? Have they ever felt like throwing their hands in the air, saying "To hell with this! I give up!" Be honest, okay? Helen: When you are putting your character through the worst, causing him/her as much difficulty as possible, how does it make you feel? Does it pain you? Have you ever had to apologize to your character for subjecting them to the worst? Kenthew: Like Miss Chert was saying, what's the worst thing you could do to your character? Like I think the worst John could do to me and Helen is have one of us watch the other die a slow, agonizing death and be powerless. Completely incapable of helping them. Me: I can do worst, y'know. I can make it so that the reason this is happening is because of a decision either you or Helen made. In fact, I think to make it even more tragic, it was Helen's idea that leads to your slow death. Helen and Kenthew: Heridon: What kind of beer do you like? Kamiko: *sighs* Why do you create characters like Heridon? Characters that don't seem to serve the plot, yet somehow do? Is your character a spring/summer/fall/winter person?
G1: Summer. Girls wear less. G2: Summer. She can get away with wearing less. G3: Spring, the season of new life. G4: Winter, a trial for the strong. Your MC has five minutes of "me" time between whatever it is they do. How do they spend such a brief period?
Amos: Oh ****!!! Miguel: Give it to me! Somehow we should take it apart- Kenny: And get us all killed? No. I've got a better idea. *Grabs bomb, walks to window and chucks it out* Kenny: DUCK!!! *Loud explosion is heard outside* Man: WTF!! WWIII IS ON! DIE COMMIES, DIIIEEE!!!!111 Kenny: Oops, accidentally went off on my paranoid neighbor's front lawn... Your MC has cabin fever, what does he/she do?
"I escape to inside my mind," Jeremiah says. "Because I can. Holodeck like. Only great thing about Christopher is he showed me that. I guess there's other things." Does your MC love to exercise? What kind?
"I hide in my long black locks, simply because I don't want to be seen." - Raven What is your MC's true deepest fear?
Omar: Loosing my loved ones, failing to be there for them. I fear that one day, something will happen and I will not be able to come back. CotB: Oi, what kind of talk is that? We'll get through, even if we have to fight it out! Omar: My dear Scottish companion, that was a serious question... Amos: Being abandoned. I'm French, living with folks who hate the French. Robin: Amos- Amos: *clasps hand over Robin's mouth* I fear that if I anger them too much, they'll just kick me out. Sometimes I wonder if they're just doing it because they want to appear like good people. Robin: O___O Helen: Losing Kenthew. I know it's weird, I mean, he's not even a member of my own species, but he's become almost like my son. He's funny, polite, and a tad eccentric, but he's loyal, just like you'd expect out of a Devonian. If I loose him...I mean, losing my crew is bad enough, but Kenthew? I'd be in a right messed up state if he died...and it was my decisions that led up to it. Heridon: Powerlessness. It's...complicated, but yeah. What was the saddest videogame ending your MC has seen?
Okay, now THAT'S just an unsubtle question aimed at the users =P Perfect excuse to throw down four/five, though. G1: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance/Chrono Trigger G2: Portal 2 G3: Seiken Densetsu 3 G4: Rockman Zero 4 Your MC see what I did thar? Just kidding. Seriously, character development questions, people. If your MC were a member/leading an organisation bent on world domination, what kind of group would it be?
If your MC were a member/leading an organisation bent on world domination, what kind of group would it be? Is trying to destroy a corrupt empire considered world domination or is that just anarchy? Anyway, Madiva leads an army whose every step takes them closer to their goal. She is ruthless and doesn't care who gets in her way. So she is a terrorist or a very crazy elf. Depends who you ask, I suppose. Your MC stands before his/her god for their final judgment. How does your MC justify their actions?
Your MC stands before his/her god for their final judgment. How does your MC justify their actions? Flint: Eh, the Devil made me do it. So sue me. Your MC is forced to face their best friend in a fight to the death. What does you MC do?
Fight to win. He would feel terrible about his friend but he doesn't intend to die anytime soon. What would your MC do if they were held at gunpoint?
My MC would try to talk the gunman out of it... if that didn't work, then a butt whooping would follow, and the gunman would promptly be disarmed. Your MC is told they only have a day to live. What would they do during that day?
Unfortunately, whatever the guy holding the gun told her to do. Faced with a choice between one of these two items, would your MC rather have: a beard of lasers, or a regenerating pudding arm? And WHY? (I have heard this question answered very thoughtfully and intelligently before--it can be done.)
Taylor: That's easy. Lasers require emitters, and emitters are technological. Advanced technology usually requires a power source, and wouldn't you know it, I'm exactly one power source short of actually having one. Even if I weren't, there's no way I'd share energy with some funky throat-level light show. Now, pudding... That's a food source. If I were to do something as foolish as getting hungry when there are no restaurants or hotdog stands around, I could simply eat my own arm. Not exactly a balanced breakfast, but who's judging? Also, it regenerates, meaning I could have my arm for appetizers, the main course, and dessert, every day. The only way to get any better than that would be if my feet turned into cheesecakes instead. I would answer Jessica's ignored question as well, but that's part of the plot for a novel I have. Who knows who may be reading this years from now... What crime is your MC most likely to commit? Probably been done before, but oh well. I'm not reading the whole thread just to check.
