She let out a small grunt of annoyance before she turned her attention to her hair which had began to shake uncharacteristically, "Oh now look what you did now, you scared it." Her companion snorted, "I scared your hair? Might I remind you that hair shouldn't have feelings much less fear something or someone." "Puh-Lease you're just jealous." "Oh yes Dinah, I'm very jealous that I don't have magnificently long locks of hair at hiding behind me like a scared pup. You're right, I'm so envious." "....you think my hair's magnificent?" Well, my characters often address controversial subjects and criticize the policies of other characters. President Robert Ellis (Democrat): Domestically, the most important thing to him is to truly punish those who are guilty of horrible crimes. It's not a political issue to him, it's something he feels in his gut, and the way he's been going about doing it for 8 years is to make sure the federal government gets more and more control so it could make it happen. On foreign policy, Ellis supports getting rid of as many tyrants as possible, whatever the cost. He's doing so actively. VP Grant Donovan (Democrat): Donovan would address the subject of restorative justice. Ironically, his biggest criticism is of the president himself, who he thinks is TOO tough on crime. Donovan wants to focus on reform, and on restorative justice. Meaning, it's better to focus on repairing whatever is broken with the criminal, and to help victims heal. Kevin Craig, civlian, (Republican): The US needs an administration that does not treat its citizens like children. Also, the US needs a president who is a moderate interventionist, not another Ellis. Here is something I haven't asked for a long time: What would your MC do if he/she was stuck in a time loop, similar to the one in the movie "Groundhog Day" or the TV show "Day Break"?
Sciance fiction story whith a relatively large military bend, and a bit of internal political struggles going on. The main female character, named Portia, was grown in a lab, a former Assasin she now gaurds the main male character. Only been alive 16 years The main male character, named Lapis, is from a minority groupe. his is seen as very unorthodox but exteremly efficient. He is a former officer of a relatively elite military unit and an economist. he is in his mid 40's Portia: would probably flip out after a few cycles, and would consider doing herself in. Lapis: would try to test the boundaries of the loop. Either to find a way out or to have fun with it. If the Portia was there too he would tell her and she would cause chaos just for fun. Franco's immediate reaction would be to hit the gin. Then, he would get his address book out and contact any of his acquaintances who may hold influence over anyone in Government, to see if he can wangle out of it that way. Failing that, he would obtain a note from his doctor, which would confirm that his weight problem and fear of loud noises would make him an utter liability as a soldier. Lapis as a diplomat would continue talking to the boring person and attempt to politely excuse himself as soon as possible Portia would be a little shocked that anyone would talk to her, and probably be glad to talk for a while. If it became to onerous she would just walk off.
Sion would chat with this person until said person lost interest. Then tell them it's been a pleasure talking to them, say goodbye, and hope to find someone interesting, or go home with Reese. Reese would chat with said person with a faux smile and drag Sion into her misery given the chance. Once said person was done speaking, she would either try to find someone interesting for her and Sion, or just go home. Character Explanation Gabriel: Gabriel was experimented on as a child and as a result he does not stay dead. When his body dies, through injury, illness or whatever, he always comes back to life. As such, his self preservation instinct tends to take a backseat role when faced with physical conflict. Effectively immortal, Gabriel wanders the world in search of a way to die. Gabriel awoke on a soft bed. The sun had risen hours ago and the light was filtering through the curtains. Groaning slightly, he tried to sit up before being overcome with a sudden rush of dizziness. His chest felt as though somebody had punched a hole in it and, judging by the blood stained bandages, it looked as if that may be the case. At that moment, the door flew open and a young woman entered carrying a tray of fresh bandages and antiseptics. He tried to sit up again and quickly decided against it as a fresh wave of dizziness threatened to send him back into unconsciousness. "Don't move!" The woman said, hurrying to his side. "Or you'll rip open your stitches." "What happened?" He asked, reaching for a cup of water on the bedside table. "You were stabbed through the chest." She replied matter-of-factly. "I also pulled out three bullets, the tip of a rusty fork, a broken key and a handful of shrapnel from what I assume was a grenade. Honestly, when you washed up on the beach everyone thought you were dead." "Yeah," he replied. "I get that a lot" Your character is suddenly the opposite gender.
Your character is suddenly the opposite gender. Funnily enough, I have entertained the notion of Amos being a girl once. Her name would've been Marie Garnier. The plot would be exactly the same, only Amos <now Marie> would be falling in love with Robin, the eldest Parrish child. Sometimes, I still want to do that... As for Helen Chert? Well...she'll likely think some scientific thing has happened to cause her to flip gender. She'll joke around about being a man for a few days, pretend she's the sci-fi equivalent of Clint Eastwood complete with deadpan comments, but after a while, she'll think about turning back into her normal self. However, she may still continue with the deadpan comments. Your MC's favorite coffee is what?
“Sorry for the late night, on the spot meeting” the marshal said “ its okay” lapis yawned out “Well have a cup of coffee everyone and let’s get to work” the marshal said to the group. “do you happen to have tea?” Lapis asked “no we don’t have tea” the marshal replied. Lapis grudgingly pored himself a half cup of coffee and put nothing in it, then did not drink it. At that moment Portia stumbled in groggy from her interrupted hibernation. Everyone besides Lapis stared at her huge overcoat and boots she was in despite the warmth of the ship. “I’m cold” Portia said defensively as she took a seat next to Lapis “Have some coffee it will warm you up” the marshal instructed “ok” Portia said as she grabbed the container of coffee and chugged the whole thing. Well, some of my characters are presidents and vice presidents of the US, so it's easy to make up reasons for them to be in jail. Just look at what people in real life say about the last three REAL presidents. President Ellis can, hypothetically, go to jail for war crimes, for messing with the constitution, for illegal intervention in other nations under the guise of helping puppet governments which he himself created as trojan horses, for offing two American citizens (who were not involved in terrorism and were not enemies of America). And... depends on whether I add this plotline... for killing some reporter (even though he had nothing to do with it). Oh, and he could also go to jail for forging his birth certificate, even though he didn't. Ellis' best friend, Jeremy: He could go to jail for killing some reporter, depends if I add this little plotline or not. Kevin Craig: Depends on the time period. As an old man, he could go to jail for writing some disturbing stuff against the government online. As a young man, his flashbacks show he could have easily gone to jail as a young man for stabbing people (in the book he is actually cleared on the night of the incident, which is good because he truly is innocent). character: Gabrielle: The female version of Gabriel (mentioned above). After a magical accident turned Gabriel into a woman, s/he eventually found a way to change back. However, instead of simply reversing the effect, it split the personalities and separated Gabrielle from Gabriel; giving her a body of her own. Gabrielle stood framed like a shadow in the doorway looking into the dimly lit room. A young woman lay still on her bed, her eyes closed and her pale golden hair sticking to her forehead. She could have been dead if not for the slow, but steady rise and fall of her small chest. Smiling to herself, Gabrielle cleared her throat loudly to announce her presence and stepped inside, closing the door behind her. The woman shifted slightly before slowly sitting up. "Who...?" She began, then stopped when she saw Gabrielle. "Your Highness," Gabrielle said with a slight incline of her head. "You need to come with me." The woman gave her a dazed sort of smile. "Your Highness?" She asked, still grinning as she yawned and pulled herself off the bed. "My, how formal we are tonight." "No time for jokes," Gabrielle said, clearing the room in three steps. "We have to get out of here, now." "What are you talking about?" The young Queen said, noticing the alarm in her companion's voice. "What's going on?" There was a loud crash somewhere outside followed by distant shouts. "There's an attack on the Palace." Gabrielle said, hooking an arm around the Queen's waist. "They are coming to kill you." "How long have you known?" She asked, trying to keep the alarm from her own voice. "About three weeks, now." Gabrielle said, steering her toward an open window. "Three weeks?" The Queen sputtered. "Why didn't you tell anyone? I ordered you-" "You ordered me to infiltrate the group," Gabrielle said, tracing a complex rune over the balcony. "And I did. I didn't tell you about the attack because I did not want them changing tactics. They have eyes and ears inside the palace. I did it to protect you." Her voice had slowly been rising until the last words came as a shout. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly as she continued tracing the rune. Finally, the Queen asked; "What are you doing?" "I...er borrowed a scroll from the Mage's Guild on my way here tonight." Gabrielle replied in a whispered tone, her voice oddly strained. "It's a teleportation rune." "Gabby...?" The Queen said, but was interrupted. "I swore I would protect you, my Queen." Gabrielle said, standing up and wiping something from her eyes. "Not out of loyalty to the Kingdom. But because I..." She turned to face the Queen, tears glinting in her deep blue eyes. "I love you." The Queen gasped as Gabrielle pulled her close, her mouth crashing hungrily into the Queen's as a brilliant green light illuminated the balcony, and obscuring the two completely. After a moment, the light cleared away. The two women were gone, having left nothing behind except a couple indistinct scratches where the rune had been. Kevin Craig: The plot moves between the old Kevin (late 60s) and the young Kevin (20s). The old Kevin would give his own life in a heartbeat. The younger Kevin would struggle with himself, and with many tears will then decide to give his life for the life of his best friend, Wendy Chase. Robert Ellis: President Ellis would do what he believes is in the best interest of his country and his party. If the best tactical or strategic thing would be to preserve the life of the president, Ellis would save himself and let his friend Jeremy die. If for some reason Ellis is convinced Jeremy would do more good than him, or that his own death would benefit the US and/or the democratic party, he would sacrifice himself to save Jeremy's life. Jeremy: Jeremy has no emotions. Robert Ellis is the only person Jeremy is fond of. He would sacrifice Ellis to save himself. Your MC fantasises that one or two other characters are just leaving him alone, or leaving the whole plotline. That character doesn't die or anything, but merely packs up a bag, tells the MC "goodbye, you won't be hearing from me anymore, and I will not harm you or send anyone for you." Who would that character be, and why?
