Your MC is sitting alone listening to music when the music suddenly stops. The lights go out. They look outside their ground floor window and there is panic in the street. They see an old woman about to be trampled by the gathering mob. There is a knock at the door, their sister lives in the neighbouring flat. What do they do? Hayate: "This love has taken its toll on me~ She said goodbye~ Too many time bef...ore?" *blinking* "What in Gaia's name...? A riot?" *sighing* "Must be more looters." *looks out the window* "Wa-WATCH OUT!" *takes a step back, Looking briefly to the knocking at the door Hayate yells out* Sis! Get To A Safe Place! I'll Be With You In A Second!" *diving through the window, rushing up to try and pull the old lady out of the way.* After being cursed by a mage, your MC wakes to find themselves turned into a humanoid animal-like body. They figure out that the transformation is controlled based off emotions. Strong feelings of anger, sadness, fear, and happiness triggers the transformation. Know that people will likely shoot first, ask questions later; what do they do?
Is it rude to go twice? After being cursed by a mage, your MC wakes to find themselves turned into a humanoid animal-like body. They figure out that the transformation is controlled based off emotions. Strong feelings of anger, sadness, fear, and happiness triggers the transformation. Know that people will likely shoot first, ask questions later; what do they do? Simple, she explains the situations and retreats to Sigma. Dam, things are crazy enough with her being the only human on an alien planet. If she explained away being human she can sure as hell explain away being an animal (which a human surely is anyway). She will seek refuge and allow her new found friends to seek very swift and painful retribution. Things should be returned to normal soon enough. Your MC awakes in a small polycarbonate barrel. they are wired up to all sorts of contraptions. they disconnect them-self and explore as far as they are able, but the container is only small. A computerised voice says "I awoke you for a reason. You may have limited memory. We can either continue on to Tau Ceti Inhabited 1 as per your mission or return to Earth." What does you MC do?
Your MC awakes in a small polycarbonate barrel. they are wired up to all sorts of contraptions. they disconnect them-self and explore as far as they are able, but the container is only small. A computerised voice says "I awoke you for a reason. You may have limited memory. We can either continue on to Tau Ceti Inhabited 1 as per your mission or return to Earth." What does you MC do? Cramped in this transparent plastic barrel. Wait what the hell? Where if the hell is Tau Ceti? Ugh, my head hurts. "Take me back to Earth," I bark at the computer. Now how to get out of this infernal contraption. Checking the holster under my shoulder. Damn, they took my pistol. What the hell is this heavy thing inside my coat? Plunging my hand into the pocket I feel something long and heavy. Almost like a sword handle, but there is no blade. Huh. Well whatever it is it must be better that being trapped in this damn barrel, and wired up like a lab rat. Holding it out as far from my body as possible. Fingers exploring the device in curiosity. Suddenly with out warning a searing hot white flash darts past my face. Shit that was close! Burning plastic fills my nostrils as the strange high temp device chews through the confining polycarbonate. It is difficult to not burn my self as I manipulate the thing with my wrist awkwardly. Finally out of the box. Clipping the devices off of me with the scorching blade on the device. Flicking the blade back into the handle. No idea what the heck this is, but it sure got me out of this one. I place it back inside my coat, thankful to have it. Now to figure out who in the hell is responsible for this sick joke. They are going to meet the heel of my boot when I get back to Terra. Your MC is trying to pick up an attractive person in a bar. They take them home (or the equivalent) and have a hot and nasty romp until the wee hours of the morning. When they wake up they find out the other person is a synthetic being. What does your MC do, and say after finding out that they just had sexual congress with a synthetic being? Is this odd for them, or illegal?
"Your MC is sitting alone listening to music when the music suddenly stops. The lights go out. They look outside their ground floor window and there is panic in the street. They see an old woman about to be trampled by the gathering mob. There is a knock at the door, their sister lives in the neighbouring flat. What do they do?" [Side note: Is it their sister knocking at the door or what?] My MC would open the door. If it was an intruder or a crazed mob member then he'd toss him aside and walk outside. He'd then shoot a gun in the air to try and get people to stop and then forces his armour to wrap itself around the old women. What would your MC do on a normal Saturday night?
What would your MC do on a normal Saturday night? Akiizu (beginning of her story): Hm... she'd sit around, watch YouTube and anime and play games (and probably watch or play some porn stuff). Akiizu (after her the story): Go out with Youka (her girlfriend) or so. Gretel: There's no nighttime or daytime where she lives, and they do count in days, but there's no week and weekend... but what she'd do on an average free night then? I guess she'd spend time on writing and proofreading some books in the Endless Library, or manage the existing ones. Or she'd maybe spend some time training her servants and / or Apprentice Witche(r)s. ... or she'd hang out on the sphere-o-web (cross-world chat board, basically) or play some games. (She's a "closet gamer".) Your character is out casually (maybe they're out shopping or something like that), when suddenly spaceships start filling the sky, small and huge alike, closing in on the planet; they're definitely not spaceships of the character's own race / faction (if they have any to begin with) or anything they've seen before, they look very foreign. Everyone's getting quite anxious and confused as people stare up at the skies in wonder or fear. What does your character do?
Victoria has faced this exact set of circumstances before. I guess I should just give her reaction. Victoria picked up her sword. "Bring it on." She is... kind of... aggressive. lol Someone casts a spell on them. Bringing them into a nightmare zone like coma that forces them to confront their fears. What would they see?
Someone casts a spell on them. Bringing them into a nightmare zone like coma that forces them to confront their fears. What would they see? Them self. Deep man, deep. Now the serious answer. A beam of light striking out into empty space, which stutters and dies. Your MC climbs out of bed and brings their foot down on an upturned electrical plug. What idiot left it there?
Your MC is sitting alone listening to music when the music suddenly stops. The lights go out. They look outside their ground floor window and there is panic in the street. They see an old woman about to be trampled by the gathering mob. There is a knock at the door, their sister lives in the neighbouring flat. What do they do? He's shocked. He'd never think that the operation would start this early, but he has to move quickly now. The Alpha team was able to get a distraction done pretty fast. He gets his phone and calls up his fiance, telling her that it has begun. He rushes to the bedroom, puts on his coat and gets the bomb from under the bed. Edit: What the hell, I didn't see the other posts after the prompt I just answered. I guess I'll answer the one above me again. Your MC climbs out of bed and brings their foot down on an upturned electrical plug. What idiot left it there? His mentally retarded father. Your MC wakes up inside Hell. Everything feels real. The demons talk to him like he's one of them and tells them that it's his shift to man the torture chamber.
Your MC wakes up inside Hell. Everything feels real. The demons talk to him like he's one of them and tells them that it's his shift to man the torture chamber. Dos: "... funny, Lorenza. Get me out." -> Simply leaves that world, or assumes it's one of Lorenza's "illusion jokes" and just waits until the latter gets bored if she can't get out. Gretel: "Oh dear me. In what kind of world did I end up this time...? Oh my. It is time to leave." -> Simply leaves. 'snot like there's much that could stop a Vastician Great Witch who is, on top of that, a half-god. "Ru": "... this place looks fun, actually." -> Makes that world, whether it is some kind of world or some world's actual hell, her playground to play out all sorts of games and stories with. (She's a full-on god.) Laine: *Draws one blade with one hand, raises her rifle with the other* "Tell me where I am. And how I got here." Vaine: *Quickly thinks about whether they might be allies* -> *Grins widely* -> *Goes on to slaughter everything in sight* Your character wakes up tied to some sort of surgery table. The only person in sight is one man in a white coat who calmly sorts his "tools", and there are all sorts of weird tubes and wires connected to your character... and the weird surgical machines over there look very menacing. What does your character do in this situation?
Your character wakes up tied to some sort of surgery table. The only person in sight is one man in a white coat who calmly sorts his "tools", and there are all sorts of weird tubes and wires connected to your character... and the weird surgical machines over there look very menacing. What does your character do in this situation? (Oh-ho, someone has played or watched a certain horror, I take it >w> I'm going to assume that the doctor is human, btw. ) Hayate: "Uhh... Uh-jeez... What the hell hap-" *notices he's tied down* "Wha-what the-!? What in Gaia's name-?!" *notices the doctor* "A-a human? He-hey! Ge-get me off of this...!" *noticing the surgical machines* "Oh great Gaia... N-no, Wait! Stop! I'm... 'uhh' ...come in peace? No, no, I'm not a alien. I'm a bird! Well, not the type of birds you know but... Shit, shit! Look, just let me go! I-I don't want to have to hurt you. *attempts to tap into his power over wind* But your not leaving me much choice; human or not." Your character finds a artifact with these words upon it. "To leave me be is to ensure your life in exchange for the mortal race. To take me as your own is to ensure life throughout your world thrives in exchange for your own. Make your choice." What does your character do?
If you mean F.E.A.R., specifically F.E.A.R. 2, then yes. xP Didn't actually have that in mind, though. Made it up on the spot. Your character finds a artifact with these words upon it. "To leave me be is to ensure your life in exchange for the mortal race. To take me as your own is to ensure life throughout your world thrives in exchange for your own. Make your choice." What does your character do? I won't describe the actions of a certain person. Rather, I'll describe what'd happen if that thing was found in Vasticia by the High Council. They wouldn't move it from its spot, but rather leave it where it is and ensure someone close to it is always its "owner" so that it's never taken away or left there. They'd construct a facility to research it around it, possibly suppressing any magical powers or radiation coming from the object. If they'd find out it's true and that's really what it'd do, they would choose a volunteer, some Witch or Witcher of the Council who is especially powerful and can return from the dead the fastest, and have them use the object in the way that "activates" its abilities. If they'd find out it's inherently dangerous, though, they'd construct heavy protection around it and leave it where it is, maybe switching ownership again and again between "guard shifts", so that no one ever really leaves or takes it at all. (Or they'd destroy it if they found that to not be dangerous to do.) Your character finds a weird, huge gate in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing on the backside of it, but on the front, there are weirdly clothed guards with swords and rifles seemingly made of light. There do seem to be normal people in line to get through though, for some reason... it looks really suspicious and weird. What does your character do?
Absolon: "Well fuck this shit, the less I know about this the better. I'm outta here..." And he'd probably nope off into the opposite direction. Bit of a seasonal one here: Your character is asked to a Hallowe'en party by a friend. There's a (insert currency here)50 prize for best costume...what does your character go as?
Can I use a picture? Your phone rings. It is the person you hate most in this world. Who is it? And why? And would they say?
I love this thread! well this oughta be interesting... *ring* John:Hello? Also John: Did you miss me? I missed you.. John: Who is this? Also John: You're a coward. You can't even meet my eyes in the mirror. John: You've come to punish me? Good luck with that. Also John: No, you've done enough of that already. John: So why then? Also John: Where else would I find someone who hates you as much as you do? *Both pick up a bottle of liqueur and drink* *** *ring* Claire: What do you want? God: My child, I want you to be happy. Claire: Happy? All these years and you want me to be happy? God: Is there a parent in all the world who wouldn't wish that for their daughter? Claire: How would I know? You took her before I could find out. *throws phone into traffic* Why is God using a cellphone? Idk, I guess he couldn't get a landline in heaven? Whatever floats his boat I guess... "Your character is walking down the street when a child drops an ice cream cone on their shirt. Your character gets angry and yells and the child runs into the street. What happens next?" Edited for spelling because it's really late and I'm tired.
He picks up the ice cream from the ground and throws it at the kid. Prompt : Your character is immortal and can never die. He/lives past the lifespan of the universe. What does he/she do?
<moves dolls and mannequins around the ship> “It's just us now, ladies and gentlemen. Us alone in an empty void. Are you ready Lt. Marcus?” <doll by the controls says nothing> “Onward to a new, glorious adventure into the Void!!” Your MC has realized he/she has become the very thing he/she hates. What is that thing, and how do they respond to it? BONUS: The person they once looked up to the most now hates them for being that thing. How does your MC respond to that person?
Corbin hates violence, especially violence against people considered 'innocents', for that reason he hates abusive people of any kind. He is living with an affliction of sorts which sometimes causes him to blow a gasket every once in a while so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it would cause him to hurt someone he loves. It sort of happens already in my story so I guess I know how he'd respond to it, he runs off and goes to live under a bridge away from everyone to give him and his friend some cooling off time and try to salvage the situation as much as possible. I suppose he is wise enough to recognize what he is becoming in enough time that it does not become too ingrained in his persona. Bonus: The person he looked up to most was his older brother who was basically everything he wanted to be, but he's dead now so there's no judgement to be given on the situation, it'd make Corbin feel 110% worse about it all though. Every day for about a week your MC has been receiving a phone call simply saying "I know what you did." What did your MC do and how do they react to these calls?
Jackie killed people. She would laugh and say, "Watcha gonna do about it?" Your villain has been offered a genuine chance at redemption. Does it go against the core of their person to accept it? Why or why not?
Oh sure! It would mean that he had been wrong in everything he ever attempted to do, every life he had destroyed in the process and that can be a pretty big bitter pill to swallow. It would mean that his love had been right in choosing another. Yet.. when faced with the choice between true and false I hope he can choose true. Snow is falling and your MC stands at the grave something/someone he holds dear. How does he go about salvaging at least a little bit from the ashes?
How does your MC deal with stress? Xiana: "Punching something... or someone. Like, a bad guy... or an idiot. And if I can't be violent then totally working out. Best way to deal with stress in my book... heehe." Your MC knows he's next on the list for 'Deaths plan' (think Final Destination). What is thier game plan?
"Slips into something more comfortable" (read: shifts into neutral form) and Speed. Serious speed. Runs through as much of the galaxy as it can, gathers up a bunch of other aspects, making sure to include healers and ----oooo! Remember to find that one really cool kind of aspect that allows for INSTANT and PAINLESS shapeshifting! Back against the wall and go for broke. Your MC finds you're writing his/her story. What title do they suggest?
Mishu: “I Save The World From A Fire Demon and All I Get was This Trophy?” Amos: “Don't Piss Off The French, For We Will Inherit The New World”. Helen Chert: “The Captain's Log, a Chronicle from a Glasgow Spaceship”. Mike Wolfletter: “Bang, pow, bang, bang, contemplation: a Civil War diary by me”. Kevin McKinley: “The Semester I Almost Died A Hundred Times”. Your MC(s) suddenly find themselves forced to vote in America's 2016 Elections! Who do they vote for and why??
Before I finished my story I would've said that my MC would suggest something both action-oriented and clown-oriented (perhaps "Nine-Ring Circus") because she is a vigilante serial killer who falsely believes that Insane Clown Posse is encouraging vigilante "justice" in their music instead of discouraging it. ... however since finishing I have decided that she's not the main character anymore and my new MC would prefer something that far more emphasizes the "Villain versus Villain" theme of the previous character's life ("The Portia and the Tarantulas") If your MC were posting the next question for me (which is not at all a clever ruse to hide that I couldn't think of my own question ), then what question would s/he like for the next author to answer, and why would your character want the next author to answer that (rather than some other) question about their own character? EDIT: oh, someone else posted first
Kevin McKinley: <looks at above post> Eh, happens all the time. <to question> Yeah, can anyone please explain to me why my idiot author is having me risk life and limb helping some old couple I've never met before? Mishu Jerni: Wait, my turn! Can someone explain to me why people have this fascination with animal-like humans? I mean, of all the races, everyone wants to read about animals from their world that can walk on two legs and speak. Why? Helen Chert: I would also like to ask a question as well; why is it that planets all have one biome in sci-fi stories? This is scientifically false! Also, can someone explain why, in a likely infinite galactic space, the stories often center around humans? Mike Wolfletter: <groans> Why did I have to drink so much last night?! Your MC(s) suddenly find themselves forced to vote in America's 2016 Elections! Who do they vote for and why??
