It's a semi-regular thing. Dickhead leader outed as dickhead and then backroom politicking removes dickhead leader to replace him or her with oh look another dickhead leader.

One shining light here is the dickhead being ousted misses out on his PM pension by about a week (I hope) which will save the Australian nation a shitload of money.

Here's hoping Turnbull is at least a bit better than Abbott for you Aussies. From what I heard, he was not very well liked at all. :/

I get the lack of like but it's not the liking that we need. It's the policies that will help the country remain in good stead for its citizens.

This is a transcript from a very recent interview with the recently ousted Prime Minister. His election promises including stopping the boats, repealing the carbon tax (good for mining companies and sweet FA) and rescuing the economy to name a few of the main talking points.

I notice the only person supporting Abbott was Rupert Murdoch.

    Hardly a ringing endorsement.

He has a Facebook page and signed off with a lament about political back stabbing and thanking God for his time in office.

The comments really reinforce to me we do not have an enlightened society. It was littered with fanboys and fangirls who are being routed by the tax cuts doled out to the mega corps. Anyway rant over. I dislike the way the right pander to rich and powerful people and companies, but have no love for the left either.

You can read his full speech here:

This is one example of what he has written:

The boats have stopped – and with the boats stopped, we’ve been better able to display our compassion to refugees.

Those boats contained refugees who were shipped to the Nauru and Manus islands, where they were kept behind barbed wire fences -- men, women and children. You can read about the conditions on Nauru here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nauru_detention_centre

Better able to display our compassion to refugees indeed.
