I just thought this was kind of a cool concept, maybe even an interesting power. Sometimes when I'm speaking/writing/reading, one sentence or a few words will 'ring' with perfection, like they're meant to be together and it just clicks entirely. I even have a habit when speaking to make sure it happens and I choose the right words. For a power, the first thing I thought of was, "What if a person could manipulate emotions with the perfect sentence for every individual? Strike a chord, and they listen to the hum, tuning until the person feels what they want them to?" Almost as if they can pick up on how their words affect another person, and amplify it and manipulate that feedback. Kind of like a moldable echo haha Just thought it was a different way of having a power. Almost like it's manual, not automatic and unexplained
Why ask? Just write the story, it certainly sounds interesting Yet what you said about words fitting together, isn't that what writing should become for an author? To just click? It certainly does for me and I have always thought that the great writers listen to that exact same echo. Of course the story would have to be interesting and a whole lot of other stuff would have to fit in as well, so just words clicking together is not enough to make a work 'great'. But it is an ingredient *said the devil when offering the spoon*
It's just a concept I was thinking about, thought it was kind of interesting. And of course it can be that way for authors, that's a good way of looking at it. It's not a story idea, just a neat thing that was rolling around in my head for a while
Fit it together with an interesting character then - I will be very interested in how the story unfolds Keep me updated if you ever decide to tell it..
