The thread title says "youtube" but don't forget liveleak! Ever since humanity developed the technology to upload videos online and spread them around, we've gotten a much *realer* look into the nitty-gritty of how a lot of things are done: politics, punditry, war, protests, law enforcement, gang fights, dogs that can say "I love you", etc. Let's use this thread to share and discuss videos from the *real* side of the net. The rules? They gotta be REAL. No acting, just raw humanity caught on film. Here's a video an Israeli soldier having a hard time climbing a wall I posted a while ago: And here's something new: two Jordanian politicians flip out on a talk show: What I find fascinating about this video is that it's the older guy who seems to lose it. He seems to be trying to knock the other guy's head off with the table, but the host looks like he gets the worst of it.
"Not again, Jim, you and your bloody walls. Just for once I'd like you to be able to climb up something, just once." "I hope no one is watching. That would be embarrassing wouldn't it?" "It sure would." Youtube is just perfect for embarrassing people, I actually feel kind of bad for laughing at this... Ah, who am I kidding? Tragedy is comedy.
Does my video count as real? 'Cause the kid really was filming himself being a jedi, I'm not sure if it's quite as real as required though.
No, he was filming himself performing a routine. That soldier represents the dangers of conscription! Maybe he's finished his time now?
My all time favourite is 'Fenton! Jesus Christ!' Basically, a guy losing control of his sheepdog, who went on to chase deer from Richmond Park. If you ever owned a dog, you'll find this funny
I went to Download last year, it's a heavy metal festival in England. You can tell that metal-heads spend too much time on the internet because the crowd at the campsite were just shouting out internet memes, "Fenton!" was quite a popular call.
Well there's the few golden public interviews that I'm sure you've all seen before, I'll go with the shortest one.
It reminded me of the brilliant remix of a statement this awesome guy gave after the attempted assault on his sister (original statement) (remix)
Whew, some of the "get's real" videos I've seen would be too horrific to post. Let me see if I can find some that are appropriate: This guy has an alert NCO to thank for his life.
I like this one, it's about a group of people saving a whale who got caught in a fisherman's net. After they rescue her, the whale performs multiple jumps and tail splashes. Maybe out of gratitude or out of happines for being free again.
Not sure how I missed it but I didn't see the headline till near the end... your brutal comment had me thinking it was gonna break/crash.
Youtube and Facebook can be fun but you gotta watch out for the giant time-suck into a bottomless vortex of "what happened it's 2 am already" situations. I ran into enough of those. I watch the clock always when I'm on there.
