Where would I post this?

I'm new here and I have an article that I'd like to post but I don't really see a category that it would fit in. It's just an article, almost rant/blurb. Would that be general writing?

If it is an article for review, it would belong in the Nonfiction subforum of the Review Rooms. However, the name Review Room means what it says. Work is posted there to be dissected for suggestions on how to inmprove the writing.

If the article is something you wish to present for display, your member blog would be the best place to post it.

I agree with Cogito, if you're wanting to receive feedback for the article then it should be placed in the non-fiction section of the review room or alternatively, if you are just wishing to get it out there and seen then possibly your blog.

You shouldn't post an actual piece in the general writing area as that's more for questions and such.
