You would think that he was a sports person, which he wasn’t. You would think that he was a sports person, who he wasn’t. This was pointed out to me by someone and I think the first sentence is correct. Am I right?
It's what I would perceive as being the correct one (the first one that is). The second one reads wrong. However, this may be because it's something that's commonly mis-spoken, rather than because it's actually correct. However, I don't think you're going to go wrong with using the first one.
