Hello everyone. My name is Marion and the genre I like to write most in is fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy writing drama when it is a story that captures my attention and one that tackles a subject that may not have been as discussed as before.
Hello all, My name is Jacob Carda, and I write half-hour comedy pilots. I'm a student at the LA Film School, and I've been writing for about five years. My first project was a YA Fantasy novel that I wrote in college. Thanks!
Hey everyone. My name is John. I write Post Apocalyptical fiction and fantasy. I have always been an avid reader and in the last three years I decided to try my hand at writing. So far I love it. I haven't published anything but that is the goal. I would like to publish my first book by the end of 2021. I was part of a local writing club where I live but Covid kind of killed that so I am here to learn and get advice on writing. Looking forward to participating.
Hello. I'm a 23 year old small town farm girl and college student with thoughts of veterinary school. First love are my animals and my second love are my stories. Don't have anything published but have taken serious thought into getting my work out there. Maybe if I'm good enough they'll pay for my schooling! May never know unless I give it a shot. I dabble in a little bit of everything, but enjoy writing Mystery and thriller the most. Also, enjoy complementary fiction and creative nonfiction. Which in most cases revolves around my experiences on the farm and life in general. Looking forward to participating!
I am a 59 year old gal from Michigan. I write fiction -offbeat people who stumble around eventually doing good and nonfiction -critters and politics.
Hello! I'm from northern England and currently have several different story ideas bouncing around my head. I haven't done any creative writing since school but in September 2020 an idea for a coming of age story popped into my head. Two months later, two ideas for historical fiction appeared in my head, set in northern English towns, and just today I had the beginnings of an idea for another story that I think I would categorise as science fiction. It's all a surprise to me that I have any ideas at all but I'm interested to see what might happen and if they make it out of my head into written form. I'm a Christian and I'm interested in how that will appear in my stories. In the first three stories my characters are happy but in an unjust world and in today's story I'm wondering what life will be like for people who can afford the latest high-tech gadgetry.
I am brand new to this site. I have not written anything professionally, or even as an amateur. In fact I have not written anything at all since college. I am in my 40's. I joined this forum because I have a story I want to turn into a novel. I am currently saving to join a writing class but in the meantime I wanted to research and learn as much as possible before hand. I do not know if this is the place to start but I figured if it was not the members here would have the knowledge and expertise to point me in the right direction.
I'm 28 (soon to be 29), living in West Hollywood and I write horror...well everything! haha. I'm currently attending The Los Angeles Film School for Writing for Film and Television, so my focus recently has been on screenwriting.

Hello everyone, I'm a 29yo M (30 in 5 days ). I love Sci-Fi. I love anything to do with Hero/Anti-heroes, Time/Space travel, powers, and dystopian futures and write mostly stories of that nature with male characters close to my age group. I hope to expand my abilities and understanding enugh to be able to write an intriguing female character in the future tho. I love the attention to detail, dialogue, and structure that comes from Directors/Writers like Christopher Nolan, Guy Ritchie, Q. Tarantino, and Jon Favreau and I hope to write twisting and interconnecting stories that constantly keep you guessing like them someday. I'm a new student at LAFS focusing on Writing for Film and Television. I'd love to stay in touch and possibly collab in the future with anyone of you looking to build lasting connections.
Yes, they do. It's actually a homework assignment for the first class you take. You either sign up for this site and/or https://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl and have to create a profile and introduce yourself, which I think is great for expanding our network and giving us more opportunity to learn from others whenever we can.
I'm a 42y/o bloke from the south of England. I've been writing short stories and flash fiction for about 6 years and last year I decided to write a fantasy novel. I love all the fantasy tropes and I think that's what drew me to writing the novel. My short stories are my excuse to explore, I try and write about anything that interests me.

I'm a straight female, in my late 50's and I write characters 30 and up, with an occasional younger one. (I get frustrated at finding such a shortage of older main characters in online books) Genres are mixed - mystery/crime, apocalypse, fiction, fetish (not porn). I have one book up at Wattpad, the one I'm currently working on.

Okay, you got me. What is fiber arts? And wildlife topics do you tend to write about? And we all write with varying degrees of success haha! That's why we're here, for sure. Welcome!
Thank you. Fiber arts include weaving, embroidery, and associated disciplines. In science, I concentrate on wildlife and ecosystems found in the western United States though I edge over into Canadian and Mexican species as well.
