Why does the site sometimes ask me "Are you sure you want to like this thread?"

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by TDFuhringer, Feb 9, 2014.

See thread title. What's up with that? And why does it only happen sometimes?

That's weird. I've not seen that yet.

Yes, unusual. I've not had that happen as of yet. Just out of curiosity, what kind of 'puter are you on and what OS?

The forum is probably surprised that people with an alienware actually like writing :p

    That seems a legit cause.

I've been around here for a while now and like @Wreybies and @GingerCoffee I have never seen this alert. Does it happen on certain subforums only?

It's happening on the general writing forum. But not this one. I just 'liked' your post @Macaberz and the message didn't pop up.

Am I the only one who can see that his computer has become sentient? Haven't you lot even seen The Terminator?

I'm sorry, TD Fuhringer, but you're going to have to smash up your computer now before it starts rolling out cyborgs.

But I'm still paying for the damn thing. I've got a year and a half of payments left on it. And it's my precious. I loves it. It makes me warm and tingly. :p

I've had it happen, but only when my internet is on the fritz. Instead of just processing the like, it will take me to a new screen.

Well there has been an inordinate amount of storm activity around here, and I'm on ADSL service and it's Sunday and everyone's staying indoors to avoid the cold and gearing up for the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead chattering about it all over the Interwebs Tubes... it's no surprise service is a bit spotty today.

Alienware on ADSL... Where's the style... You need to feed it plenty of fiber.

Walking Dead is back on tonight? I didn't even know that. Thanks for reminding me. :D

Oh, and just so this post isn't completely off-topic, no, I've never had this problem before.
