Whenever I post through quick reply, I get the message: (Where I click the okay and this disappears) Although, there are no errors listed and the message is submitted. Evil or what?
I have never gotten that one actually, although I do keep getting one every now and then that says something about re-directing me. lol. Oww well, as long as it still posts I guess.
I had to put up with that for several months myself actually. It drove me insane to the point where I wouldn't post very much over that time as well. But after a while and the upgrades were done it slowly went away. I can't remember what I actually did to fix the problem but I did fix it eventually. I think it had something to do with my internet options actually. When and if I remember what I did I will let you know.
I'll let everyone know that the issue lasted for just a day. And I'm safe from the evil for now! Thanks everyone!
That is great to hear anthraxx. Hopefully you don;t get a reinactment of it again though. <fingers crossed>
Thry clearing your Internet Temporary Files (you shouldn't need to delete cookies though). Might help, might not, but won't hurt.
I got one earlier that said there was an error when I was trying to post some pictures. still posted though. lol.
Is this what you mean (see attached)? Just happened to me. Though the post posted anyway when I checked by opening another window. OK I can't attach it because of size issues but the message reads: Unable to add cookies, header already sent. File: /home/spider7/public_html/writingforums/includes/class_core.php Line: 3075 and the top of the screen is overwritten with this warning message in duplicate: Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in includes/functions_newpost.php(360) : eval()'d code on line 30 I have the screenshot saved as a Word Doc and Paint Doc if you wish it.
Computer says no...: From little Britan. Seemed to suit. I havn't had any of those messages though. Just thanks for your post you will now be redirected adn sometimes I have to refresh the page repeatedly. But I think that's mainly because my internet likes being a cow sometimes!
Taking a stab in the dark, I think the reason the redirect 'Thank you for posting' page was placed to reassure users their post had actually gone through. Without it, the slow page loads were worrying. I think it's a great mechanism and solves many of the previous problems. I don't understand why so many people keep saying it's a problem?
Mine still sometimes whites-out to nothingness. The post goes through, but I have to get back to the site by alternative means.
