I see we've got new smileys, some of which are fun and some of which I don't even 'get' . (He looks like he's giving somebody the finger.- edited, nope not any more. This guy is definitely hitchhiking now.) But you've axed my favourite one. The little sideways confused guy with the mismatched eyeballs. I mean, where IS he??? - he's right here. What am I on about? He expressed exactly what I meant so many times. This guy just doesn't do it for me. - yes he does, dat's him dere. I also miss the little blue question mark guy, the one with the mouth that doesn't turn down. The new question mark guy's mouth turns down , which implies sad confusion or passes judgement on something a person should not have said. The other one was just a simple question. No, that's him in the blue, right there...Mr Sad Confusion has left the building... I hate to be old fashioned and say bring the old ones back, but hey. Bring the old ones back! They're actually less complicated and more straightforward. What I'd really like is to be able to choose from both. Any possibility of that happening? (Kinda tentative smile, that one...the warmth is missing...no the warm one is back...yay!) edited.......OKay, now this entire post doesn't make sense. Trust me guys, the smileys were different when I wrote it this morning!
Sometimes, @Wreybies, matching is not everything. We know you meant well, and I believe everyone appreciates the additions.
Yikes! A couple of my faves are gone, too! The green Big Grin guy - where's he? And, of course, the sideways confused guy @jannert mentioned. I love this and this and this and this , but please bring back the green grinning guy and the er...wha? guy.
Alright, alright... The People have spoken and have been heard. I put back the old basic ones. I was just trying to get the basic ones to match in size with the rest, not so much make them look like they come from a set. My personal sense of aesthetic cringes at the size disparity when they display next to one another. Also, I found a "thumbs-up" that looks a little more intuitively what it's meant to be. As to having both the originals and new ones that duplicate them, the one thing Daniel mentioned about new smilies, which he is cool with having, is not being "one of those sites with a million smileys". I was trying to find a balance between the two things.

The green grinner has a counterpart that comes from the same set as @jannert's favorite smaller: bigger: Would that be a possible compromise?
Fine by me, but I'm not bothered by the different sizes and designs. Actually makes it easier to zero in on the one you want.
@Wreybies, I do prefer the old/smaller one, but either is fine by me. Not to be a nitpicky dick, but... I kinda... sorta... liked the previous, yellow... tongue-flasher smiley better. I'm sorry...
Actually that yellow one was not the original one either. The original-original is also pink but not so cartoony as the the one now... Um... go to the New Smiley thread I just started. I think I figured out a way to make everyone happy.
Oh this was too funny! I missed the OP before the edits and to read it all as one...it took me for a spin before I got to the end, lol. @peachalulu - I agree... is definitely my new fave!
