TLDW: Still sick but feeling a lot better than yesterday and actually managed to get some writing done. Daily Word Count: 1,038 Total Word Count: 24,879 So close to that 25K! Presuming I don't keel over and die, I am pretty much guaranteed to get it tomorrow! Yippie!
TLDW: So right now I'm not sure which direction to take my novel in after finishing my most recent chapter, so I decided to skip forward to a dream sequence instead. My protagonist is what is known as a "Dream Weaver" which means the in his dreams, he can see the memories of the people he knows. I have found these dream sequences particularly fun to write, as it gives me a really interesting way of exploring all of the characters backstories and uncovering all of their deep, dark secrets. Daily Word Count: 664 Total Word Count: 25,543 That's half way towards my goal for the end of the month. Go me!
TLDW: So after a few days of being a sickly Victorian child on her death bed, I have managed to get back on track and written a decent amount of words today. (yesterday) Cave Stars-- Day 11-- 139words wasnt a lot... it was a busy work day and I came home exhausted. I did write the day before, but I'd forgotten to change the color of the text (I change the color of the text so that i can differentiate my edits from the main works and make it easier to track word count), so I dont know how many words i'd written that day. I did write a 1299 word blog post, earlier this week too, though....
That absolutely counts! Well done for sticking too it even on busy long days when you're exhausted. That's just how life works. Some days are big writing days and some days are little writing days, but if we keep going, we'll get there eventually. ... Except for this guy. EVERY day is a big writing day for him.
So I got a decent amount of words done today. I have beaten my daily word par and earned my daily chocolate, but more importantly, I have reached a very important milestone today! It is the first book in a series that is considered by many to be the greatest fantasy series of all time... See if you can guess what it is!
I have little writing days - i've had whole weeks go past wheni hardly write anything. That usually happens when I'm between projects and lacking inspiration. I try to make up for it when i'm hot
NaNo Vlog Day 17: TLDW: Daily Word Count: 3,209 words Total Word Count: 34,728 words Random question... Would anybody be able to help me come up with ideas for Gods? I need 100 different Gods and I need a different method of offering for each of them. Example: 1. God of Death: Human sacrifice killed at the altar. 2. God of Life: Pregnant woman gives birth on the altar. 3. God of War: Two people fighting on the altar. 4. God of Peace: Children dancing around the altar. Basically, every God represents something different and every God needs a different offering. I have a few ideas but I don't have nearly enough.
God of Fire/Destruction- burning (something) on the alter God of Rain/Storm- pouring rain water on the alter God of Love- getting intimate on the alter God of Harvest- wheat/grain on alter (I got more...)
I like these ideas very much! Thinking maybe just a big bonfire on the altar for the Fire God. He'll be happy with that.
