I don't write in order, and I've finished five novels.
    Four of them are published.
One I am submitting right now.

And at the moment I have several WIPs at different stages of completion.

I can not write beginning to end and I don't outline.

To be honest, I have no idea half the time where my story is going or how it will end exactly.

I just get a story idea, begin writing, and see what happens. I don't even write whole chapters at a time. I will get a scene in my head, and then another, and then an idea of what may happen next, then a dialogue, and it is sort of like a jigsaw puzzle ... and eventually the pieces fit and all come together.

A while back I tried writing a story with each chapter covering a group of characters which I planned to eventually affect or intersect with other chapters' characters. It got to be complicated to keep up with each chapter's chronology and I ended up just throwing out the whole work. It wasn't wasted writing, though. I learned that I'm just not good at that style and the story idea is still germinating in my mind.

    ...self-published, or by traditional/paying presses?...
