I'm working on a series of short stories about natural and unnatural death. I have three stories so far, one of them I consider to be complete.

I'm in the revising/rewriting phase of my novel "The Betrayal" snippets of which I've been putting up in my blog..

I'm about 75% through that part, and rewriting my ending, then it will be printing out a hard copy and going through it page by page to polish.

My first novel, THE UNIQUE DESTRUCTION OF AN ORDINARY SOUL is completed, but I am revising it during this period of querying literary agents.

It's a little large at the moment, coming in at 130,000 words. It is a contemporary fantasy novel. This book is the first in a series.

I'm working on two short stories at the moment, both having connections with the concept of a Hero.
One is about a cop who finds a giant in a backwater town. -This one has been revised once, and is on hiatus-
The other is about a useless individual who ends up saving a child at the expense of his own life. -This is only a rough draft, and currently needs a lot of work-

My current project is two stories, one titled Order of Sol and the other, W.o.A.. Both takes place on an imaginary continent I drew with a few thousand years difference in timeline. I prefer to break away from the conventional so in W.o.A., the MC is a hero who is strong, smart, and is not idealistic, and doesn't have challenges, except for a bit of romance, so he develops through helping his allies with their challenges. In Order of Sol, the MC is also strong and smart, but has more personal problems.

Which current project? In progress right now:

My general fiction novel, about 50% completed for first draft.
One romance novel in the writing stages.
One romance novel in the editing/revising stages.
Three articles, two in research and one in making final cuts for space fit.
Newsletter for the month of March, all I'll need to plug in is the specific data for the HOA's and apartment complexes.

My current novel is a modern fantasy about an ancient magic nation that (literally) vanished off the face of the earth, but makes a comeback in the 2060s. Its sort of a culture-shock thing, with vampires, werewolves, witches, knights, and dragons clashing with modern-day cops and detectives, who are all left wondering WTF is going on.

It's tentatively titled Old Country, but I doubt that name will stick. I just finished chapter 6 of about 20 and it's at 25,657 words so far. At the moment, I'm wrapped up in revising chapters 3 and 4, because I didn't feel the early chapters had enough description and the character voices weren't distinctive enough.

Writing chapter 6 was a blast and I can't wait for 7. The action is starting to heat up, which is why I'm eager to finish revising and move on. :)

Currently I'm working on a sci-fi novel but I've only written part of the first chapter so far. I'm also working on a fantasy piece and a few other things.

    That sounds very interesting. :D

I have a fantasy/science-fiction seafaring and island-exploring adventure novel with 50,000+ words for the first draft so far (the product of NaNoWriMo). I've been refining the basic story since November ended and I think I've just arrived at something satisfying. I'm working on it from there.

This is very true. I'm also working on a short nonfiction piece about a crazy weekend I had in October - getting in a car crash, attending an emotional wedding, meeting my boyfriend's ex (who was gorgeous!) - all in two days. It was insane. I find nonfiction pieces to be extremely difficult.

I've been working on my novel for a few years and she's just about done. A bit of housekeeping is required, but she's done and will be sent out in early 2009. She is 88,000 words in length and is the first part of a gritty horror/fantasy trilogy.

When I'm not working on my novel I am working on two screenplays. One is in the planning stage while the other is midway through the first draft.

I work on various things, but my main project is Escape From Manitou Island, third in a series of serials (a fourth will be coming after it). It's a fantasy serial based on Ojibwa Indian mythology. I'm currently almost done with Part 186; it's nearing the climax but there's still a significant amount to go, so it'll probably run well over 200 chapters. I'm not certain of the wordcount but last I knew it was over 750,000 words so it's probably quite beyond that by now. As expected, I kind of lost track of all the different things going on so had to take a hiatus from it to take notes, which took quite a while, so I still haven't gotten back into the habit of writing daily. :( So work on it has slowed significantly, but I'm still plugging along because I've been working on this series (both this and the prior two) since 2001 and I adore it.

Please note that I said this is not a novel but a SERIAL, for posting to the Web, and is not meant for publication, so word count constraints do not apply. Also please note that just because it's long doesn't necessarily mean it's lousy--one could only judge for sure if they've read it. I'm not saying it's good, just that it's quite irritating when people judge a story merely by its length without reading a word of it.

Still working on my serial and novel.

My serial has been written through it's 2nd Season and 70th episode. I plan to make the 3rd season it's final and take it to at least 100 episodes. I've encounted various problems but I've been helped a lot here.

My more challenging project is the novel I'm writing. I'm currently about 20,000 words into my minimum of 80,000 word goal. I got the story mostly mapped out in my mind. I've had trouble finding inspiration but well, talking about it to others helps a lot.

I really feel good about these two projects and the characters I've created for each. I'd be glad to discuss it via PM with anybody with enough time to blow on an amateur writer like me.

I am working on planning out my future books I am writing which will all tie into a series. The books will be fantasy, involving many mythical races and such. However, I am having trouble in figuring out how my fantasy world was created.

Currently fleshing out a book concept where after weeks and months of anguish families discover their "dead" and missing children are alive. Secretly kidnapped by terrorists, they will lose them for real unless the government meets their demands.

The idea is basically to challenge the "We don't negotialte with terrorist" policy; the parents facing the possibility of having to undergo the agony of losing a child twice and the accompanied public outcry.

    Train Wreck

I just started writing a story with an antagonist turned protagonist. A guy is planning to mug the people on a train car, but things go awry when an old acquaintance enters the car and recognizes him. His plan foiled he decides to try again at a later date, when another thief stands up and begins to rob the train.

Strange ideas happen during trips on public transportation.

Wow! When can I buy it?

I'm going crazy rewriting a novel that's been going 6 years. Sometimes I can't decide if I should trash it and get on with the next one I have planned or not. It's got a bit of a threadbare plot but strong characters and story lines in it. I torture myself writing it a bit each evening, and flick tabs on and off on the internet (like now) when I'm about to start screaming.

I am working on the second book in the five part series of the earth angel chronicles. The second book is called the Dance of Death and goes on the premise that there are new race of children being born with powers and thanks to a prophecy in the first book, The government is trying to kill all these children. The prophecy states that four children (now in there twenties) will come and protect the earth. Governments will fall and religions will crumble.... The main character Rose, quite tempermental and can be dangerous has fantastic telekinesis skills. The second book talks about....The Project.....Something to do with these special children. Whilst that is going on Children are being possessed by Dark soliders beings that are sent forth from the shadow dimension to do job. So Rose and her boyfriend James have these to deal with. Sounds better when you read it.

    God Damn You

Here's a short story I finished wrote a while ago and finished revising not to long ago. It's about a neurotic guy who becomes obsessed with people's responses to sneezes.

    God Damn You

Let me know if you like it or have any ideas for further revisions.

ItsYourWord, any work posted must be posted in the appropriate Review Room forum, and must be posted on site, not linked too offsite. In order to post a thread in the review room, you must first have given two substantial reviews. As such, I've removed your link. Please see the rules, in future.

I have a screenplay about this guy getting kicked out of the band he helped start. It's about a third of the way written (first draft).

I'm working a first-person novel that has several people's stories in a "post-apocalyptic" America. It's at 8,053 words. I'm working on two characters right now. I'm about a third of the way done with one and half the way done with the other.

I also have a paragraph written of another novel that I'll work on to take a break from the above, and make it my next main project when I finish the above. It's a third-person story about two men, one who sees demons and one who sees angels, that meet in a mental institution.

I've written a couple of paragraphs of a short story about a father and son going hunting.

I'm working on a fantasy novel called "Founders", which is a prequel book to a series of books I finished this year, and is technically the first story in a larger series that involves the whole fantasy world. It's about a group of people, all from different backgrounds, from assassin to royalty, who are chosen by gods to seal off a part of the world because of the evils that infest it until it can be opened again thousands of years later. It's been fun to explore the different themes and characters in the story. It's still in draft form.
