Atlas is one of my favourite. I like everything to do with celestial and the concept of eternity. What is yours and why?
Hestia. I feel like she’s one of the most underrated of the Greek gods. She’s the oldest child of Kronos and Rhea, and therefore the oldest of the gods, or at least the major gods. She’s the goddess of the hearth, home, and family. She willingly gave up her seat on Mt. Olympus to Dionysus in order to prevent conflict between the gods. And she was actually worshipped a lot by the Greeks and Romans because of what she represented -they valued the ideas of home and family. In Rome, they had her followers tend to the city’s hearth, which was a big thing because they thought it was what kept their city safe from war -if the fire in the hearth went out, they thought Rome’s well-being was being threatened. And yet, in popular culture, she doesn’t seem to be talked about a lot. I actually don’t really know of any famous legends about her, even though you can easily find legends about all the other major gods. But even so, she seemed like a pretty important part of the world of Greek mythology.
It'd be a lot easier to show you than tell you, but I have no idea how old you are, so I'll just drop the subject.
Vulcan, God of the Forge. I was always an industrious person, and a very militaristic/nationalistic person, so the idea of basically a God of the Military Industrial Complex is something that appeals to me.
*wipes hands* Besides, it seems like something that's a little more up @Cave Troll 's alley than mine, so it's probably best to defer to their wisdom.
What is this now, that is being deferred to me? As for the OP, I will say I like a fair few of the Greek Gods/Goddeses, even if they are pretty much the same as the Romans. Though Eros is kinda underrated from either side of the aisle, though he is the son of Aprodite. Also interestingly enough a god born of Chaos he is. Perhaps Slaanesh is the warped version of Eros. mixed up with Hedone.
Vulcan is Roman. He is portrayed as more militaristic and imperial than the Greek Hephaestus (as were many Roman gods).
Hestia needs more love. Nobody cares about Hestia, like the actual Greeks didn't care and modern people don't care either. But at least she gets the exciting domains of hearth, home and chastity. Yay...? Who doesn't want to worship the god of sitting at home and not getting fucked? You know, I don't think I actually need any help with that...
@DK3654 That's what I mean, he's the God of the Military-Industrial Complex! It falls surprisingly in line with my political beliefs too. And my mistake, but I was under the impression from what I read that he was the same as Hephaestus, or basically a tougher version of him. Like Vulcan is the Rambo IV to Hephaestus' First Blood.
@DK3654 Lol ok, sorry I broke the 11th commandment, Hephaestus then! Same deal, different pantheon. He's a cool guy who builds stuff and supports the troops, works for me!
Hephaestus for me, too. Not because he's militaristic, but because he's the god of the forge. That basically makes him the god of engineering. Engineering is totally cool.
